My highest skill is 62 in melee combat and 40 in defense magic. I'm a noob I guess. I could hit the mobs once in awhile, sometimes several times in a row, but I never got exp. During the entire serveal hours I played, I got exp maybe 3-4 times. This of couse is due to the group make up, which I understood. I stuck with it despite the fact that there was little I was getting out of it, other than the novelty.

Our leaders were pretty good overall at getting the groups moving, though it was obvious that they didn't really know what to do to complete the objectives. When we did reach the areas, it was obvious even with the amount of people we had, we were out numbered and outmatched. Overall though, I don't think we had enough people, enough true skilled players and good team organization among the less skilled.

Maybe when I'm level 150-200 I'll find these events more fun.
Your not alone in your feelings on this event. I applaud Nevrax for doing this type of event. But on the same note I hope they are working on some smaller stuff. Stuff for groups of 4-6 people and at all levels of play.

I don't know what to say. I recall someone announcing that they had hit level 28 or some such during the raid. Most of the mobs we fought were between L150-220. Not very doable for those under L50 only, but we did have a bunch participate who were not in the +150. I am not, for one. My group's healer was under L110, I think. Our boss mobs were around L229, as I recall. I went toe to toe with them and landed... well... nothing. I'm not surprised though.

At the same time, I'm L124 and I hit maybe 3/5 on the Antikami healers. The mystics were hitting me for about 500 damage, but I was doing the same at about 60% of the hits on them too. I actually found the ranged ones the hardest to hit.

As for the XP thing, I wonder if it's team based? I went through a number of fights without XP. In one case, I took down a 3K XP creature dealing all the damage (with healer backup) and got nothing for it. I landed about 4 hits on a Black Circle Wizard and when everyone was gleeful about 3K Xp, I got nothing. I was getting loads of XP mid combat from team-mates around me though, which balanced it in the long run I'm sure.

Seems to be lots of different experiences. :)

It is indeed team based. I think that hurts large events such as this. We are all working together for a common goal and we don't want to be petty, but those that can do the most damage on a mob of course get the exp. Perhaps there should be some way to link groups together to form an alliance so that all members may share in the exp.

I had to use my highest accuracy stanza to hit them. Otherwise, nothing landed.

I think 300xp was the highest I ever got for anything in that event. 20xp was around the norm.

The only reason why the Karavan side lost was because we never had enough detail as to what to do, when we followed the information given to us by the karavan npc in bounty beaches, we arrived at the karavan outpost to find that only a few tryker warriors remained, and there was nothing to defend.

We ended up trying to clear Bounty Beaches of the cutes, which of course, spawned out of nowhere in groups of 5 with a leader in each group.

Do to the fact that only, maybe, half our forces were within the 150+ level range, the rest of the force was not sufficient to supply the dps needed for the 200+ level creatures we had to defeat.

It was NOT our group leaders or karavan leaders fault in any way that we lost, it was do to lack of instruction for the goals.

We had 2 goals, first goal was to move to the outpost and defend the Tryker tribe leader, well like I said, we moved to the outpost, and nothing was there to defend, so it was a false triggered event, loss 1.

Our second goal was to move to the cutes stronghold and take down there leader, well we killed cutes by the hordes and moved from stronghold to stronghold, but none stood and we never found a leader, loss 2.

The Kami side sounds like it was scripted better, but the Karavan side was, well, a disappointment other than us just mass slaughtering for not apparent reason.

My congradulations go out to all Karavan who showed up and worked our butts off to work a broken script.

The Karavan also had a great unseen enemy....

The Great Crash Beast that is known as Aeden Aequeous...

It wrecked havoc that evening...

Very true Zzei, we all know who was mostly at the event, atleast all the regular players were, and we all got the same boot, we should get a special title also,

Da Booted Bountiers

maybe

Eir We Dieded

hmm..

How about just plain:

Suckers

In any event, we all had fun, no matter how twisted this entire thing becomes because of the 'special things' they did for those who they thought should deserve something.
