CP has been committed to helping others travel to other lands since the game began, continues that commitment today, and will remain committed to the that in the future. Zzei, you have our full support in your efforts to make Atys a friendly, supportive place for all homins.

Irregardless of who hates who and when, I can, and will, help those who I can when it comes to the kitin. That is what I am pledging. I am not asking anyone to pledge it as well. Just letting Atys know they have someone they can call upon when they are in need of assistance against the kitin, irregardless of whom they follow, or what civilization they are from.
I am abstain from politics, they create un-equalities, and argue over common sense with the nit-picking of language, wasting time and effort that could be best applied elsewhere.

And I would like to thank CP for their willingness to step aside from any political bickering to make this pledge. I am glad I am not alone.

Ok, Zzeii, let me just say I have no issues with assisting you or CP in repelling a Kitin invasion, game mechanics permitting. PvP probaly wasn't the best example of a mechanic to use in this discussion. So, that said, I throw out the following hypothetical scenario to show what my line of thinking is, then I will let this thread be.
Scenario: CP has aquired a Tribe X stronghold. Being high in Tribe X fame, Tribe X has left CP with a detachment of guards to help them defend the stronghold against invasion. Zzeii has sworn a pledge to help defend CP's stronghold against Kitin invasion. However, Zzeii's civilaztion fame in Tribe X is so low that, inspite of Zzeii's best efforts, limitations in the fame system prevent Zzeii from counteracting civilization fame to the point where Tribe X's guards do not attack on sight. So now, the only way Zzeii can help defend CP's stronghold is by killing off all of the NPC guards there that were left to defend it in the first place.
Like I said, that scenario is hypothetical and game mechanics may never evolve to a point where that becomes an issue, however, these are the types of scenarios that run through my mind when I see discussions like this.

Thats what ranged weapons are for =D 50m range on them launcher babee!
Honestly, I wouldn't have to fight near the gaurds, taking pot shots with ranged weapons is something I'm working on currently.
And to quote me:

I will do my best, if it means getting killed more often because I can not take refuge in the outpost, then so be it. It is a risk I will take in preventing the kitin from taking homin help establishments.

I will do my best to help in the escorting for safe passage for those that need, as I am able.
I will help my fellow Atysian to the best of my abilities to further fight off the hordes.

Yeah me too, but only if the nation I save from the hordes provides free beer and dancing girls for the party afterwards.

My thoughts on this: The situation described above really falls more into the realm of a guild needing to protect its own either through internal strength or alliances.
That being said, should the arch-enemies of Comitatus Praetorian, the Guild of Intrepid Maniacal Poking Sticks, be under attack as you describe above and should they put out a general call to arms, yes CP would respond. The real question at that point would be whether the GIMPS want to accept the assistance of CP or not.

More than likely, if CP and the GIMPS both have a stronghold, and one is being invaded by kitins, so is the other.
