Spell resistance of mobs is being reduced again. Close combat, dodge/parry and I think what type of armour your wearing v mob special attacks are being altered in our favour.
This I think is again a dumbing down of the game to suit the whining americans when tbh theres nothing wrong with it now.
Just checked the release notes:
spell resistance retuning: yes
all the rest: nope, at least not according to the release notes
Seems Atys will largely stay as dangerous a place as it was...

so many bits still unfixed from beta yet new stuff is being added all the time try fixing old issues b4 upgrading to new stuff
seems a bit silly that they have added all this new stronger mobs and such yet there are still a few things that we havnt had since beta examples are:
dodge/parry modifiers on weapons/armour
elemental protections on jewelry ( i mean now goari can zap us dead in a couple of hits with elemental attacks what protection do we get against it?)
a self heal that we can use once every 20 mins or so if were lucky doesnt really count, shouldt we just have heal spells for self like we do for others? or maybe a way of selecting your self and casting spells we alrdy have for use on others
having base elemantal protections based on which race you are would be good too fyros people live in the sun and the desert so they could be strong against fire, trykers come from water lands matis from the forest and zorai people im unsure of just give them acid protection or maybe cold they look blue like there cold anyway

and thats a dam well good thing the game is not meant to be a stroll in the dam park, its meant to pose a challenge i really cant understand why some people want to just walk in and be able to kill everything in site for 3k xp a pop or travel to matis on a flying mektoub.
Remeber the kitins have invaded our world we homins almost died out and were now recovering, we are the minority the lesser dominant species of the planet, Atys is meant to be dangerous hostile and uninviting to the wandering homin. Its not meant to be a picnic in the Kami Oasis

Wow, hold it, m8! Didn't say I wished it was (read carefully). And I agree on the stroll in the dam park thing. The devs clearly want us to stick together. Solo is hard, but by now it should be pretty clear that the game is geared towards team play BY INTENTION. And we haven't even gotten in the worst of things, I guess, once the invasions really take off...
And who wants to sit in a Kami Oasis anyway...hail the mighty Karavan!!

ya ok the kittens invaded and nearly wiped us out..... in beta it was fun
new age came (patch 1) killed off more subscriptions than any kitten invasion
ask yourself how many guildmembers you dont see much nowadays because of it, we lost a few members to patch 1 all good friends, sad to see people leave because they cant have fun on a game they pay to have fun on.
most mmorpg are easyish because they have massivly high lvls or they make the last few lvls hard to get which adds longevity to a game. when you go to a shop and buy a game for a console you expect them to be reasonably hard because once you have done it you lose intrest in it so they make it that way we dont want ryzom to be like a console game where you keep dying over and over using continues as we get dp and not continues
party hunting now is perfect if you pick the right lvl mobs and have the right people in your party you can lvl ok party size could be a bit bigger for exploration trips as to go anywhere now you need atleast 18 people all around lvl 100+ and you cant fit them all in 1 team so comunitcation becomes a problem seeing other teams life bars and such
solo hunting needs alot of tweaks at lvl 80 melee lvling is steady 1.3k a mob for scav igara but not many of them around have to spend a while killing all the little annoying ones for 100 exp or 600 just to make the others respawn armour doesnt seem to do what it says anymore either lol 49% protection on my armour and it absorbs like 100 dmg out of a 700 dmg hit? you do the maths im pretty sure it doesnt work out anywhere close to 49% dmg reduction let alone the 130 def v's on top of that =/
have you tried entering abyss from matis lately too? you walk in and look at the end of the tunnel there is a mob of about 30 agro there it would take half the planet to tear through that many kinchers and jugula's

Well i am not american and usually i do not complain much in games.
But patch 1 made me leave the game and i really wanted to like it.
Such harsh adjustments to a combat system need to be done pre-release and there is no excuse for such mess.
My plan was to play both Ryzom and EQ2 now i play only EQ2 and not because it is easier but because it is much more fun.
And call other people whiner will not fix the game ((

I take offence to this statement; please don't put all Americans into the same category. Some of us only whine a little bit. ;(

Or mayve just impress on people that its easier to call them versions instead of patches?
