I was playing on a laptop lastnight and afaik don't come with a mousewheel!

V key toggles first and third person

Not sure about zoom in and out (num pad keys would be my guess)

Try pressing "k" to bring up the keys menu, and configuring a key to zoom in/out

Tried that - the option is not available.

Yeah press 'V' this allows the screen tomove out

You can talk when you are "dead" (lying on ground with teh respawn bar going down). This means that if you are near an obvious landmark (gates to Yrkanis, etc) it is often worth calling for help in region chat - very often there will be someone in the vicinity who can heal you before you die and get DP.

On a similar note - if you see someone being munched by a much stronger mob (Skoff for instance), often the best way you can help is to hang back and wait for the mob to leave the vicinity, then heal the munched player before they completely expire. (For many people the overwhelming temptation is to rush in...........)

Healing someone who is in combat will automatically put you on the mob's aggro list. If they are fighting more than one mob then the mob(s) they are n't actively fighting will immediately break off and come for you!

Check to see if you can use a macro to do it....

Press Shift+K .... then experiment!

Or there should be the button to "Add Key" in the upper right hand part of the window. You will them get the ability to add a new key and associated command to the keyboard shortcuts. Basically, it's a one step macro. It's also how you remap the "A" key for us "AWSD" types.

Portal Tickets are VALUABLE. some are bugged, so you may want two not to end up on a ledge. 10k is pretty cheap for the early ones. Most of the time spent you can get harvesting a good portion of mats. + you get experience! it's kinda the reverse of killing or harvesting off DP where you just get cash....

1 and 2 on the number pad will spin your camera around your character. I find it handy for seeing what's around you when harvesting in a hostile area.

The . on the number pad will recenter the camera behind your avatar.

Edit: Oh, and F6 will disengage combat mode. Every Tryker learns this as soon as they're trying to get into the water to save themselves and can't because they're still engaged with a mob.

leftclicking and dragging will move the camera without moving you =)
