If you clear DP, always do it either in the skill you have the highest lvl in or you can gain XP fastest and are medium to high lvl.
I am not really bothered about the DP, except I just "gained" a lot of it and a guildy wants to have something crafted right then, because i hate to waste crafting XP.
And there is light at the end of the tunnel, 4.2m DP is the max you will ever get when you are lvl 250 =P
4.2mill aaaa
My max is 550k (fyros trip) and because of the time i can play took me 2 days to remove.
Look at it that way and its 3 days before I could start earning again.
Anyway since melee is fixed I removed my 200k today on scary gingo killing, most satisfying. Now have a packer full of their best bits.

Well ....
I used to play alot of EQ,
See one time a "friend" soulbound himself in a dungeon.
This means you will spawn at that exact place when you die.
So he is with this group .. the room is constantly cleared of mobs.
If he should die he instantly spawns in the same room ... and no long runs to get back.
This works really great.
He decide to celebrate with some Whisky.
30 mins later he is fast asleep on the keyboard.
The group who is also tired decide to call it quits, they cant wake him up thou.
A couple of hours later he wakes up in the morning.
Only to realize he have gone from lvl 57 (60 max lvl) to lvl 28.
All this in one night.
Need I say more.
New Character
New Server
New Friends
The DP in Ryzom is a blessing

Having wracked up a 958500dp doing a world tour, 135 in melee, 134 in pr forage. 1 hour of digging q140 mats to clear it out. Not a bad price for 14 hours of fun leading 16ppl at the start, and 50-60ppl at the end, from Min-Cho in Zorat, to Pyr.
P.S. The long way through tryker and matis lands mind you.
Of the MMO's i've played, this game has the least harsh penalty for death.

I will warn you now though that it uses the "lose all your xp" system if you die. And rezing isn't an option. Dead is dead. Still the loss of xp doesn't get depressing til you get over lvl 100.
There is a sissy XP bank now that gives you back everything you lost over time as you start xping again. so you loose it for the moment but gain a bit every time you get xp again. Or has that been taken out again ?

I think it's still there, I saw it on the site last night.

They were just begining to implement that when I stopped playing. I only stopped playing jsut before the most recent expansion came out. I had forgotten about the xp bank thing though.
