I install the game, allow it to update, then when I click the shortcut on the desktop, it doesnt do anything. Nothing at all comes up. When I open task manager, the client program is running, and I have to end task it
After updating the game, it will relaunch itself automatically. This can sometimes take a while and that's why you still see the process running. Please do not attempt to relaunch the game manually.

Massive, massive log in problem. I got the game. I installed the game. I tried to log in to the game.
I would have been surprised if this worked. You need to register an account before you can log in to the Game. ;) Even if you had an account during the Beta, you need to register a new account. A few beta testers were granted the right to reserve their account names for retail, based on their previous commitment to the Open Beta and Focus Beta Test. All of those testers have received an email explaining the procedure. If you did not receive such an email, please register a new account.
last night i experienced a lock up and now it wont run at all. i can log in and select a character but that's it. after i select a character, it hangs and when i reboot my machine (cant even get task manager)

Widescreen Issue:

I posted this in another thread but I thought it might be helpful to post it here as well.

Thanks a lot for the info but there is a small problem with the way the game handles 1280x720 (and I think all other widescreen resolutions). The problem is that since the in-game settings do not let you select 1280x720, the game will revert to 1024x768 if you make any changes to your graphic settings (clip plane, etc.). Again, thank you for pointing out that you can select 1280x720 in the configuration tool and I hope to see this other issue resolved soon (as I think it would not take too much work to fix). It sure beats editing the config file.

Thanks. I've already passed this on to the development team, omega. :)
