Wow, ive seen those kind of post in many forums. Those post always came from kiddies who dont own a credit card and dont know much about business and the internet.

What they are all forgetting :
a) It is free, they only ask for your number, they dont charge
b) Asking for a cc number is a way to assure only possible players will test the game, you will need a cc if you want to play. Each player cost something to Nevrax (bandwith, servers equipement, etc.). Its wiser to ask for a cc number in terms of marketing and cost.

I just posted this suggestion on the private Ryzom boards. Maybe they'll think about it, maybe they won't...

Game Time Codes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Not everyone has a creditcard or check card available to them for use in paying subscription fees. Please consider marketing game time codes such as EA sells, in increments of 30,60,90, and 120 days. Another great use of such codes is that players could buy them for friends/family and send them via email; this is one way to make it easier for people to recruit their friends into the game or even keep existing ones in.

Oh... and before anyone gets started on me... this isn't about me. I paid for a year of Ryzom, *with* a creditcard. This is a suggestion to help Nevrax get more paying customers and to help their fans help them continue to grow.

Hello,

We are very aware of Game Cards.

We are always reviewing new payment and payment verification options. I have no information on when there will be or whether there will be any changes.
