Nay, this was not the kitins fault. It was the goo, who have recently been nicknamed 'the devs'!
I agree - in fact at the times I normally play it seems busier than ever in and around Pyr. There have been times in the last few days that I have done a /who and marvelled at how many people are around.sprite wrote:Perhaps the warriors of Matis and Zorai are not as strong and tough as the mighty Fyros; sure there are a few less of us, but we are no less determined and our proud city of Pyr is certainly not a "ghost town"
In their defence, they have been very quick to make some changes and fixes at the request of the players; there was a "fix" for Patch One within 24 hours, and we have had a number of patches since then that have all fixed annoying bugs *and* rebalanced what lots of people claimed was too hard.zzeii wrote:Nay, this was not the kitins fault. But there is always hope. We have to stop thinking about the past and look forwards. Everyday new homins arrive from the islands. The population is growing once more. It's time for those of us who have been here for a while to step up and stop feeling sorry for ourselves. Yes our guilds are in disarray, yes there are teams who go out hunting in the same spot nite after nite. All you, I, and everyone else needs is a little determination to make the situation better..
I am not so great at motivational speeches but i hope my point is clear at least. The past is gone, it's not coming back. But that doesn't mean the future is bleak - it's what we make it. And i for one intend to make it as enjoyable as i can
I hate to say it and sound rude, but why don't you join a team (or even a guild) and fight with them to get more xp? I'm planning on getting some people of a similar lvl from my guild in Fyros together to go to the places the higher-ups used to go to so we can get some better xp (personally I have no trouble getting good xp grouping with people 50lvls above me).troll16 wrote:mainly a soloist at the moment, my melee has not improved at all since patch 1 still at 53 melee (I sometimes play over 10 hours in a day and normally play every day).
Hey why don't? Because. Because some ppl, me including, just prefer solo. As for me, I rarely group, only when asked to assist (help/tank/powerlvl somebody). I have fun exploring and planning my actions on my own. This is my virue, also in RL And I want XP that would reward my style of gaming too.sprite wrote:I hate to say it and sound rude, but why don't you join a team (or even a guild) and fight with them to get more xp? D@mn skippy they have. Done a right bang-up job knocking out all those patches in the past week. I was just throwing a little humor in there (since the storyline said it was the goo that made everything stronger). I'm glad for the patch (And would have still been happy without the subsequent patchs as well, but not everyone is a fan of extreme challenges ) and also glad to see people are warming up with the subsequent adjustments (musta been all that goo resin i've been diggin out of Dew Drops!).sprite wrote:In their defence, they have been very quick to make some changes and fixes at the request of the players; there was a "fix" for Patch One within 24 hours, and we have had a number of patches since then that have all fixed annoying bugs *and* rebalanced what lots of people claimed was too hard.
