Thank you Rhedyn, I was going to see if you wanted to go.
I would offer my service as an escort but, last I checked, throwing supreme resin at kitins didn't really accomplish anything.

You may also wish to announce this in the local regions over the next few days, as not everyone makes use of these forums, and may not hear about it.
I do have my own doubts as to this being successful, but I hope it will be.

Keep in mind that by Saturday we should be playing with the modified combat from the Friday tweak. This (hopefully) will make this trip more "doable."
As for size, my guess is that the party will grow as we move, picking up additional delegates as we travel to each land. Guild leaders/representatives that need an escort should probably get in contact with Zzei before Saturday so they make sure they get a private tell when the travel party reaches their land. From past trips, expect it to take at least 1 1/2 hours for each transit unless we get unusually lucky. So 1:30 EST in Tyker, 3:00 in Matis, and 4:30 in Fyros. (Those starting in Zorai have a long afternoon ahead of them).
Also, we will be providing a Teamspeak host for the escort teams to coordiante with on Saturday if you happen to use TS. If you dont have it, you can download it at
goteamspeak.org.

Zzei, I plan on making the trip as a delegate for the Ion Guild of Tryker. I will check though and make sure the guild approves me as a representative for them. Thank you for working to get this all together. I would have tried solo and have tried before. Ahh the sweet feel of DP.

If a lot of guilds can offer up a lot of people, a zerg might be a good idea. In the overpowering sense. That is, sometimes if a raid is large enough, it can be hard for adds to kill off just by virtue of the number of people there. By large I'm thinking at least 60 of us that are 100+. If we don't have enough to completely drown the adds, a small tight raid would still be the best idea IMO.
Thoughts? Zzei?

I am not over 100 in melee so I would only be good as a backup healer or fighter in this sense, Pegasus Foundation will most likely add a few people to the trip to help with the defenses, we will need to see who qualifies.
Understanding that the raid force if large can end up with 20 adds, and if there is 10 groups filled with 9 people you can have 90 people against 20 adds.
If you have a smaller raid force of 40 people concentrated at the suggested 125+ level for escorts and the delegates do nothing but tag along to ensure there survival, I would think it is doable, and I applaud you for the effort.
The two bottlenecks in your trip will be the Prime Roots and then the Maze on Matis lands.
Once you get past the maze your clean sailing all the way with the power your combining.
Kudos for starting this thread and my hats off to the Zorians since they will have the hardest work to do up front making it through the Prime Roots to Tryker lands.
Look for Jinari, Jivalax in game, they are our guild leaders / founder and will probably be our reps at the meeting, I will be porting to Pyr to attend since I am one of the guild officers.
Again, great job with organizing this and I truely hope saturday turns out to be a very powerful movement!

As a rep for Desert Templars won't have any problem getting to the event, but would like to help out however possible. Personally only 85 in 1h and 80 Off Aff. Archie could probably help if not working, 110 melee. No other members have made the trek to other lands yet, but if nothing else we could meet you at the matis->fyros portal. Let me know if any helped is needed.

As founder of a new guild in Fyros, I dont have to make a dificult trek. Not that I could, being only lvl 40 in mele combat, atm. I will, however, be doing all I can to help this expidition. Even if it means treking to the roots and throwing myself at anything atempting to get at another delacate, I will do it. I am not afraid of DP, as it is easy to work off at my lvl. I will also try and get my guild to help, not as part of the trek, but a welcomeing party to those who make it. My toon is Tocs, and if he is not availabe, try for Zadac, Also in Pyr, a healer I created just for this event. I will also not group with anyone of the expodition, so I can draw stuf away without it comeing back to slaughter anyone. I will probably be doing this often. If you have any objections or tips, I will listen to all of them Zzei. IF you think it smart, I will even create a suicide toon in each town to draw mobs away. And if not, the welcomeing party is still on.
Additional note.

In the aspects of RP, guilds who's deligates already have access to Pyr, will be allowed/welcomed to join in the pilgrimage starting from their civilizations capital. Let us make this a true journey of Atys, worthy of being remembered.
Feel free to post here, or contact me (Zzei) in game for info/signing-up.
**RP'ing amongst the deligates will be encouraged, as long as you do not interfere with the escorts duties. Griefing/training the troop will not be looked kindly on, and will be dealt with properly.**

Went down to Thesos today and into the upper Matis area. Not a pretty sight. At the (non-functioning) teleporter lay 6 huge and fearsome cutlers that more or less constantly camped the teleporter. We had to wait 25 minutes for them to clear off enough for us to make it the 100m from the gate to the teleporter. Then another 20 minutes for them to clear out for us to leave the teleporter. For the record, cutler snore. Made it to the clear spot. Now, I've never made it through this area. Pre-patch, the best I did was the ramp from the deset to the forested area.
Didn't even make it 100m from the teleporter this time.
Or any of the other times.
You hug one wall and it's ranks of kipuka. Kirosta in the middle and a pack of cutlers surrounding a named cutler (with +100m aggro, I might add... confirmed *that* little nasty fact again today) to the other side with gibbai for flavour. Get past all that, and there's a line of torbaks. Get past that and more kitins. It's one of the things that I find most frustrating about the game 'locking us in' to our areas. It just feels artificial and heavy-handed. Then again, as I am repeatedly told, I'm not *supposed* to be there. <grin> Either I'm persistent, or just plain dumb.
Don't answer that.
Anyway, Zzei, if you go with the Zerg method, BG's Xalgarr and my Linneth will hopefully be waiting anxiously. If nothing else, I can take a few hits and protect someone lower level than I while the big guns deal with these critters.
Tin.
