As far as magic soloing being less fun, and there being less options, I wholeheartedly agree. I've decided myself it's worth it to me to re-adjust, because I love the game so much (I'm sick to death of 'stock' medieval MUDs and MMORPGs). It's a personal choice, I guess.
Aelvana,
This is the *closest* any of the Nevrax "supporters" on this board have come to acknowleging that I have a rational complaint. I understand that some people may love this game so much that they are willing to overlook such obviously bad design decisions - but I do not appreciate it when people basically tell me "STFU, game is perfect" over and over and over again. Especially when its so obviously not o.o
I give you props for being one of the more honest posters on the "other side" about this issue instead of trying to claim that I'm just some power leveling whiner who is sick they can't get 3k kills back to back solo...

I'd be happy to just be able to WALK AROUND in majestic garden actually. the game as it is is aggreviating and frustrating as hell.

I find this thread ironically funny because as a +60 melee warrior, with my original medium high dodge choice matis armor, a suckling yubo killed me, well simply put I never landed a hit he did.
Granted he is worth 0 exp to me because it says its beneath me.
Now, I am not a caster at heart, so I sold my entire armor set, and made me some high dodge beautiful blue heavy armor, wielded my q80 2h sword, and swept through the yubo field to recover 0 dp points, but didn't loose more than say 500 hp (on something that is for a newbie to kill)
Then I moved on to the gingo's, those were fun, I was able to dodge alot of the time and win the battles to the 3 star guys, just can't do 3 at a time, no sir, that cost me another 25k dp.
The new mechanics of the game is simply to organize players of the same level to move as a team and fight mobs for little exp.
Granted, taking on a gingo that can kill me nets me all of 300 dp points, although I haven't devided that into my current dp, I do tend to think of it as the gingo's revenge patch.
Sure I used to move from one area to the next with little difficulty, but then as I crossed between regions the mobs had more hp, more damage, and was more or less balanced, just needed the exp balanced.
Maybe, just maybe there is a bigger picture we are not seeing.
They want people to just stop playing while they create something spectacular for us to play with, something that is balanced and makes sense.
So people are abliging, there either going to another MMORPG, reading a book, watching tv, spending time with there families, or otherwise removing themself from ryzom.
I am disappointed in the damage output of the mobs, but I still play, I mean what the heck, positive exp is just as good as negative exp, atleast you don't LOOSE your level when you die.
(or alot of use would be level 1 again in every category)
For some wierd quarky moment in my life, I have full faith in the devs that they will see our petition that was started and signed by over 200 members and growing, and they will fix the problem.
In the mean time, lets just give it our all, play and restratigize, be slain by yubo's!!! Let the mobs have there revenge upon our caracases.
Better yet, learn even sneackier ways around groups of mobs that will slay you if they see you.
I don't mind not making level 250 this month.
I like harvesting and crafting, and so far I have yielded over 3k in exp from a good craft.
Its all just a matter of perspective.
The yubo's and gingo's wanted a chance to slay us, so now its there turn.
