Mordred and others,
Please note, I did say that further balancing is necessary, especially at higher levels.
Personally, I believe that this is the better solution than a full reversion to the way things were pre-patch, and I fully accept that others have different beliefs.
However, I doubt that a full reversal is going to happen, it is much more likely that added balance will be added to the changes that are already in effect. I could be wrong, but this is the way I see things.
So, why not give Nevrax a chance? They have been very responsive in the past, I don't see that this will be changing do you? But I do know one thing, if I were with Nevrax I would be VERY careful right now about any change I made, I would see that many people are angry, and would not want to anger them further. So in a way, the current level of animosity towards Nevrax may actually be slowing down the changes that people are after. Who knows?

I've given Neverax a chance. I've been here since beta. I gave them the first month of mundane and typical level grinding as time to get their game into shape and start introducing content. They havent done that.
What they have done is change the game almost completley from what it was.
I'm not really mad at you or Nevrax. I am simply stating that this game, with the current changes (combat wise) is no longer fun. I think many players agree with this. I also know that WoW (and EQ2 but that doesnt interest me) are coming out very soon.
This boils down to, either Nevrax do something very good soon, or I see a large number of players leaving, me included.
It doesn't matter how much potential a game has really, or what the developers promise in the future. All games promise far more than they are ever able to deliver. This game might be one of those. I was very intruiged by a game like this where the story would be more important than anything else. But how long am I supposed to sit around and pay them to play this game in its currently masochistic mode?
They promised a lot with this game, and have not delievered any of it. They would of been better off leaving the game in its psuedo broken and exploitable state and introducing content than trying to fix the leveling treadmill. Instead they decided to change the way the game works almost entirely, alienate their playerbase, and still have yet to introduce any content.
It's frustrating to see a game which has so much potential go down the toilet basically. Sure, things might get interesting a few months down the road, but lets be honest. Who is going to be left to enjoy that?

I've played in some of the betas as well (3 of them), and yes, this game has changed a lot since then. I bought the retail game the day it became available locally and in 3 more days I will have used up my free week, I fully intend to continue after that.
The message has been up for a month stating that content would be added in patch 2 hasn't it? So I am not surprised that there was no real content addition in patch 1.
Personally, I am sold on the potential of this game, yes, and I am willing to await another patch to see what will be forthcoming. If others are not, that is a pity. I hope you (and they) find what they are looking for, wherever they end up.
To answer your question though, I will be right here when the content arrives, so I for one will be here to enjoy it. Me, and others.
