I actually had quite a bit of fun last night in game. Just because I feel like it, I'll tell you about it.
I joined a team of 5 Zorai near the Kipee Hill outside Zora. We were all enjoying the newly fixed harvesting, and decided we'd like to see what the Prime Roots looks like, and check out what mats are down there.
We headed off to Stainmoor Gate, and amazingly got to the gate without any agros. We went through, and found ourselves in a dark tunnel. We thought, "hmm..no big deal". It was then that we heard the Kipucka roars echoing down the tunnel. We all shook in absolute terror, and tried to regain our confidence.
Slowly, we began creeping through the tunnel, and eventually rounded a corner to see 4 Great Kipuckas. The tunnel split into two, with 2 guarding each passage. It seemed impassable. We sat and watched for what seemed like hours, and then we realized that they ran in patterns, and every so often, a window of opportunity presented itself.
We saw an opening and went for it. Then one of the Kipuckas single handedly flattened us all. These beasts hit us for more damage than we ever thought possible. No homin could ever stand up to just one hit from these monsters.
After 20 minutes or so, we had all maxed out our death penalties, so there was no reason to be cautious. We ran like mad whenever we saw an opening. And eventually, we made it through that gauntlet, and found ourselves in a cave so expansive that the ceiling was barely visible. Then we realized that getting past the 4 Kipuckas was only the beginning of our problems.
Huge swarms of Kipestas raced around killing anything that got in their way. On top of that, there were endless Zoracs and Najabs. Hugging the edge of the cave, we snuck past many of them. Then we saw some homins and had a glimmer of hope. The Silencer Tribe was walking by. We tried to keep our distance to find out if they were friendly. They saw us, and the blood that spilled told us that they were no allies.
After another successful escape of the Kipucka guards, we tried a new path. We found another tribe of what appeared to be Trykers. They were the Root Sappers. We wisely chose not to greet them, and never found out if they meant us harm.
To be continued.........There is much more to this adventure...I'll tell more of the tale if people let me know if they've enjoyed reading it.
Ok, storytime is over. IMO, there are still lots of ways to enjoy this game.
Oh, and I'm going home from work now, so don't expect more story tonight.
