I suppose this was directed at me though it is not clear. And yes, I have read them.

I think the problem is that perhaps I have not been clear in trying to express my dismay over finding out that the game I had thought was not a level treadmill has just turned into one.

OK... I have to wait to do the PR. I must content myself with providing sub quality materials for my guild. This is purposeful game design. *shrug*

I wish it were different. That there were some other way to do things... like provide materials in the PR that are not q 200 etc.

Obviously, most of the people in the game are willing to slog along getting level after meaningless level just so that someday they MAY be able to get to the PR and then be faced with the same problems.

The funny thing is that harvesting outside the pr is a piece of cake for me now. It is much easier to get masses of mats even though they are only (for the most part) choice at top.

I am still mulling these new revelations but I am slowly becomming adjusted to them. Sadly, my impressions of the game design have been altered and the lack of understanding of my struggle has also been a disapointment.

I do not often post in these forums knowing that the flame throwers come her to bait people who show any emotion or who try to have rational discussions over how we would like things to be.

So... I will just go away and think of how it could be.

*bows* and leaves the room.

What's wrong with choice mats? I know of one (yes one) spot that contains excellent mats, and none at all for supreme.

I've never foraged in PR, only been there once just to get the hole spawn in Matis.

I think this part of the issue - some people set their expectations too high. I and most if not all of my guild crafters are quite happy with choice mats, and if we get some excellent or supreme occasionally to throw into the mix then that's great, but we are happy with what we have.

Once we get over level 100 in craft then we'll do the same thing we did before - find suitable spots to forage higher level mats and move on from there.

By the way, you don't have to go to Heretics Hovel to get q100+ mats. Remember there's north as well as south...

Havesting is fine..

100 PR and 122 desert.. I can pull 10-12 q130 mats in desert areas easily for 1900-2200 xp a pull, can do the same in PR, but usually max around q114 and 124. Using terrain and mat specs when extracting and terrain spec prospecting.. With a partner to care give, I can pull almost 16-18 mats depending on which focus self heal I use.. and thats only with the 15s bonus time. I could probably pull more faster if i used more than the -102 focus brick, but It eats too much focus ATM.

The only time I visit Majestic Garden is to put mats on my packers and level craft. The rest of the time I am either in Fleeting Garden or Knoll of Dissent, as are most of my guildmates and non-guild friends. I sometimes teleport to Kami Circle, but when going to Rising or similar places I run, either from Avalae or from FG Karavan teleport.

I can get to both places easily at melee 75. Some do it with lower melee level.

I see. So because I'm not whining and *****ing about the game I must be lying?

I'll give you an example of my experience in the game, although I'm probably wasting my time...

Last night we formed a small team to do a little combat and have some fun. We met up at Davae and went to Rising Border Post. You may or may not be aware (don't know what race you play) that there is a bottleneck just before the border between Majestic Garden and Fleeting Garden that is populated by Baying Ragus and Gingos. As we approached this area, the two people at the front attacked a pair of Baying Ragus (note - they attacked, didn't draw aggro but charged them).

These two players were melee 45 and 58. I was about 20 meters behind them. By the time I reached the fight, one Ragus was dead and the other nearly so. I got in one hit to finish off the second one.

The three of use also killed a number of Scary Gingos at the border as we were travelling through, and we had a good time for a couple of hours killing Grunting Mektoubs and the like, although these were tough as they were about 20 to 30 levels above me, and our low level friend died many times, although he found it very funny at the time and we made many jokes about him being the official 'grass inspector' of the group. Above all, we had a lot of fun.

I'm not saying there aren't some issues with combat, but I do resent being accused of lying or having a mental disorder just because I won't make nothing but 'the sky is falling' posts that seem to be flavour of the month.

Sorry, but what is your problem with foraging in PR? I have been doing it from lv30 or so?

well glad you are having fun, bu t I am NOT having fun and I am SERIOUSLY pissed about it. and YES telling me that everything is fine and you have fun IS wasting your time, because everything is NOT fine and I am NOT having fun. my stupid inventory is bugged and I am not finding a way to fix it that WORKS, I cannot survive a travel on the road because IDIOTIC gingos killing me. Magic is useless and crafting cannot be done whithout materials. so STOP wasting your time and go back ingame to play if you are happy your place is ingame not on the forums taunting who is frustrated and cannot play.
