I don't think there is some at the moment but it would be fine for those who don't have a big connection

thats well annoying, means i need to spend a whole night downlaoding something that i cant play for a further 12 hours after :/

hmm i have just patched 2 comps together on the same connection it took me about 12 mins with a 3mb connection so its really not much to do 56k may have a problem but anyone using blueyonder broadband will have no trouble

didnt even know peploe still had 56k >.<

I still have a 200bps... with phone hook etc... doesnt mean I'm still using it; never had a 56k though, since it's a false technology: it's software not hardware :D

Thanks to the incumbent in the UK, British Telecom. No matter what their advertising says about reaching 90% of the population, there are alot of us that cant get DSL.

I live in Herefordshire, if BT were to publish the figures for that county it would show that only 10% are able to get DSL and thats because the citizens of Ledbury installed there own private broadband system. Even in Hereford if you live on the wrong side of the city you cant get DSL.
The government forced them to enable our county after threatening them with court action, even so it will be throughout 2005 as they go live. My area is June, until then It will continue to cost me £40 a month for my ISDN, the equilavent price to a 2mb DSL connection.
