You left newbie land way too soon...that is your safe zone....use it...you should level your most important skills above 30th level before making the attempt to crossover...Unfortunately nothing in the rulebook warns people about this pitfall...accept one blurp that says something like level up over 20th level before moving over. It should have read level 30.

You should join a guild...even if you plan on soloing. You could get alot of good advice from people who have been playing the game and suggestions on where to solo. I was lost till i joined my clan... now i love the game, it's very exciting to be part of a guild even if your plan is to ultimately solo most of the time.

It does say to stay in newbie area until you hit level 20....which I did in both melee and forage before I left. But to stay until level 30? BORING. Very few people will want to do that unless they spruce up the gameplay in that area.

I'm sure you're right about learning more if you join a guild....but I have mixed feelings about that. Nevrax should do a better job posting information, official information, about the game. Why are obscure geek references like "source mode 1" even included at all (stuff like that immediately decreases the immersion factor for me). Could there not be a little explanation about the differences between quality numbers, types of weapons and armors, and so forth? All there is now is info with different numbers listed, the effects of which aren't clear.

I don't want to have to become a member of a guild to learn some of these basics, and IMO I shouldn't have to.
