I must admit that I too thought people must be using items too powerful for them and thus getting the serious degrades, or perhaps they were doing something wrong. Then I got above level 50 and went hunting in groups for MOBs that gave more than 1000xp. It was like wearing a paper suit in the rain. The weapons and armor fell apart. Now I craft all my own things, I know they are made as good as they can be made with current mats and game settings. In Magestic Gardens nothing can even damage me. I can walk around with pets (any vigorous carni) and they will not touch me. Yet an hour or two up north in a group kiling things that give 2500 XP will wear any weapon or armor out fast. It is not just a normal wear and tear type of thing, it degrades about 12 points a kill even if I never get hit. I am however in favor of some kind of degrade, just not as strong as it is now. I also have been playing this for quite a while now and have seen Nevrax be very good at addressing issues like this. I am confident it will be addressed, until then you can see us hunting in the danger zones sans clothing.

It is very hard to see what is meant with the strong degrade rate at low levels. I never had any problems with degrading items until I joined the group of my guild when we were running the Matis - Fyros tour. Because of the competent leaders we had about 10, 20 aggros on the way. In Knoll (5 aggros) I noticed that I lost 20 points on my armor. Thats 1/7th!!!

I know the mobs were way over my head but I didn't do much in the group anyways (lvl 47 melee). On the whole way I landed maybe 10 hits and got hit (and killed) 3x. In my opinion these degrades forbid wearing armor at these levels for anything but show.

I hope the same way as Jiv that Nevrax will address the problem and fix it.

This is really a simple issue. If u use a ql 100 mag amp agnst a high lvl mob, it will decay after, o say 7 hrs of use. Use a ql 50 store bought staff, and it lasts u 2-3 days.
Its an outrageous decay rate, but it is a bug, thus will be fixed. Stop complaining.

Granted in an Election Year we should be used to people promising us the moon and giving us sand and calling it moon dust.


I understand it takes a while to program and come up with new ideas

the slow destruciton of armor and weapons are ok but when u need to Froage for 2 to 3 hours for one peice of equipment and it dies in a few fighing hours it blows. if it was like once 6 lvls but it is not

crafting takes tons of mats and time and people do not even buy the i wagere some of the best equipmet will sit in the new Vendor system for 7 days and vanish. only to hear a person Cry out can anyone make a .....

Harvesting it some what tedious and will be made even more so when the Patch one goes live.

Fight altough it was slow before in solo it now will not be possable? in the Post Patch

I've played some great games in the past, DAoC, AO, AC... if you go to their boards and read the posts, you would think.. hell I'm not playing this game, it must be crap from all the negative comments. Its just the nature of the beast. I learnt not to judge games from all the 'Fix the game my way, or I'll quit posts' that frequent mmorpg forums. All I can say is judge it for yourself and see if the style suits you. If you like it, thats great. If you don't, go play something else.

We might actually have to play carefully, fighting mobs our own level and getting less than max EXP at a less than lightning rate. God forbid...
