You have no understanding of it at all.
For some people its just not worth finding a group when you have no idea how long you can be on for.
I guess its a bit like trying to explain hunger pains to fat rich overfed people.

I understand what hes talking about when he says the fun is missing. Yeah, hunting with friend and whatnot can be fun but like harvesting. its the same thing over and over and over again. Where are the quests and story driven missions that were promised to us. I remember being told over and over again in beta that we werent getting any content till release. Wel, i paid my 50 bucks +15 now. Show me the m..content.

I know just what you are saying. All too often I find myself in the same situation. But family responsibilities are good too. Heh! At least with a family to care for I get regular meals and sleep rather than burying myself in one MMORPG or another. :D

and if you have to go away for one min every 30 sec, then find a bigger group that can handle things on their own. that way you can go off whenever you want to...

i did alot of soloing and was then asked to join a guild, now i only log on and theres always somone in the guild that wants to group, or ill just ask global chat...
You obviously missed the individual who posted a while back saying he thought the devs should change stuff so people were FORCED to group, to accomodate his failure to find groups in a timely fashion.

where was that thread? there's been a lot of banter about how difficult it is for the unguilded, casual player to get groups; "the tail of the comet", if you will.

but, in all the threads I've read, nothing about how the devs shoud make it so you *have* to group. but, the game does has some shortcomings in *necessity* of group finding - eg it's easy to solo, or duo, or just grab a couple of folks from your guild only.

If one were to look up "Grind" in the dictionary...Ryzom would be posted there. On every character I crafted my own armor and or weapons. I foraged up to 50th on 4 characters...and was never able to forage the one material I longed for the most...."Fun".
So without further ado...and no melodramatic farewell speeches...see ya all in WOW. 2 weeks and counting...now I am off to get this turd deleted from my Harddrive...Cya in the funnypapers.
I'll be staying... I'll read about you in the funnypapers

Goodbye posts are ads by fanbois of other games, IMO. Leaving one MMORPG for another, expecting that play won't consist of grinding, is like leaving an MMORPG for another expecting it to be update and bug free. It's not going to happen. He may be wanting to switch to WoW regardless, but if he's really expecting a game without a grind, he'll be beating his head on the table a month from now :P
