But the color of the mat does depend on the type of the mat. All desert motega wood is blue. All desert eyota wood is red. You can tell ahead of time what color something is by what type it is.
OK, I'll take your word on that. :)

But it's still the numbers of each colour that decide the final colour of armour, as I explained in my example.

By combining both arguments, if you use a lot of one type of mat then the type DOES affect the colour! :)

So we're both right! ;)

You know, that different quality levels (basic, fine, choice, excell, supr) of the same mat typ sometimes got different colors, don't you? But that's a fact !

But going back to my last post: It's logically, that light/medium/heavy armors look different. Also ... colors don't really change the look of an item. Only the colors, but nothing beside of this. Okay, but maybe someone may already see this as a main change.

The real changes comes from higher item plans, like medium or high quality. Or from plans of a different race. These plans not only changes color but it generate complete new looks.

(sry for my bad englisch .. it's not my own language)

Sorry aswell...
The color of the mat itself also depends on its quality level. In your example eyota is red. True, if it's CHOICE eyota (or excellent for this matter). FINE eyota should be purple (might also be turquoise, not sure) and BASIC is beige. SUPREME prime roots eyota will be black or white.
And yes, the more fancy looking crafting stuff comes with the higher level crafting plan of still the same item to be crafted.
This way, you can basically tell the "quality" of the crafter by the crafting skills employed and the "quality" of the harvester by the color of the crafted item which can tell you about the qualitylevel of the primarily used materials.

Prime Root Eyota is white.
And if it's different besides being better looking or a different color than it's most likely another race's armor.

As you reach higher levels you are able to craft Medium and High level gear, not sure what else to call it. The medium level in Fyros gear adds the Gold trim, and I know some materials and higher levels skills also add a REALLY pretty metalic sheen to armors.

I am not high enough to be able to craft medium or high level nor high enough level forager to harvest the higher end materials, but I am looking forward to it.

One way you can tell if it is "exactly" the same plan and NOT medium or high level is to read the name. In Fyros armors/weapons the name is Very slightly different between lower level and medium level plans.

And yes, color of mats changes the color of the armor, yes the majority will win and if NO material color has a majority the resin often will win out.
