Nevrax also have a contract with EBGames, that doenst mean they are responsible for mistakes made by EB.... Another exemple : If you buy a brand new toaster at your local store, and the store makes a mistake on the price, whos to blame ? the store or the maker of the toaster?
To justify my statement "You are doing a good demonstration of your immaturity and lack of common sense... " :
Lack of common sense : Thinking Nevrax or Ryzom is responsible.
Immaturity : "DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME".... first its an error, contact the person concern and you should be able to get it fix. Second, the use of all caps and a subject that is not appropriate.
I remove that statement from my first post and replaced it with an explanation.... just in case you havent read it the first time.

Hi there,
I've checked with our technical staff, there are no issues with the download.
I assume you entered the wrong email address during the registration process. Please email
billing-ee@ryzom.com and explain your problem.

trosky wrote:First your purchase wasnt made by Nevrax and is not directly related to Ryzom (even if its about the game). You should contact the website were you buyed the game and try to get things fixed.
You are doing a good demonstration of your immaturity and lack of common sense...
It warms my heart to realize what warm, compassionate, understanding and mature (let's not forget mature) individuals we have giving potential players of this game their first taste of the Ryzom community.
/sarcasm off
But that aside, may I make a suggestion? If you have nothing nice to say, please, don't bother posting, all right?
Did no one ever teach you what it means to be courteous?

Im sure im not the only one thinking what i wrote...
Dont you think he could have adressed his issu in a proper way ?
I posted my answer so the post doesnt have the effect he desired it to have : discouraging people from buying online when theres is absolutetly no problem with that and he didnt even tryed to fix things.

Right on eschiava! Dont flame, help people! Now if you think someone is being immature tell them politely your opionion and suggest how to fix thier problem, please dont get into arguments on this forum it makes other potential customers feel like the community is made up of immature hostile people; and as to the person who posted this i believe that lawrence has given you some answers.
Now lets all hold hands together and sing....... /Hippy mode off
Seriously though be nice or just dont post, it shows the rest of us up. Its kinda funny that the player base is more older based and me Character (Hazleuth) is 18 years of age and i have the sense to be respectful to other people.

Ok so for all the hippies
:
"You are doing a good demonstration of your immaturity and lack of common sense... "
Can be read as :
You should have posted a more precise topic that doesnt tell people not to buy the game and you shouldnt have used all caps. There is also no point in mentionning this in the forum, get the contact from the site you purchase the game.
Sorry if I offended you. Seriously, i dont believe in being courteous to people who dont disserve it, I will always be courteous with someone who is.
I think theres nothing more to be said here....

You're right Skylarth, I was wrong to post my thoughts in such a way as to invite argument or further debate.
But the final part of my post stands, please, if you aren't going to be courteous to those who are considering this game, just don't post anything.
And Trosky, you should remember that when you post as you did, you are not only visible to the person you are responding to, but to everyone who reads here. I feel that a negative tone taken by registered members of the Ryzom community reflects badly on ALL of us.

"Seriously, i dont believe in being courteous to people who dont disserve it, I will always be courteous with someone who is."
Anybody can respond to disrespect with disrespect. Responding to disrespect with courtesy and respect is a sign of tru adult behavior. 'nuff said.
