...to install the game on a friends pc and register it there?
It might well be that you would be able to play it at home, after you successfully set up your account.

That is a good idea. He doesn't even have to install it on a friends pc, all he has to do is go to another computer somewhere and login and enter his details.
Someone else on the forums had the same problem but managed to finish registration by entering his details in work. Everything worked fine there so he could only come to the conclusion it was something to do with his own pc. It's worth a try!

One suggestion I haven't seen here and learned on my own concerning the Visa portion, is go and register your card on their website. Despite calling the bank and all the other mess, this one thing ended up being the problem, it was hanging on the Visa Verify. I used a Visa debit card, fyi.

sorry you have problems but i have read the problems on this guest forum BEFORE buying and installing, so i used a regular visa card, and i got No problems at all.
I decided last sunday morning to play this game, i bought it via jolt, i downloaded it in under 40 minutes, i registred and got not one error or redo.
1 hour after i decided to play it i was running around killing bugs.
hope your problem get solved though...
