Hello,

Before this gets too out of hand...

I have seen a few players with an error that does not seem to allow them to use a certain card. This does *not* effect all debit card users, but it has effected some. It is not specific to debit cards.

We have found, in some cases, it has to do with a bank not allowing recurring charges, or a bank not allowing a charge from a company outside the U.S. I would recommend you clear both of those issues prior to contacting support.

In some cases it seems the webpage times out prior to any charge happening. In these cases I usually ask a customer to make sure they have all pop-up blockers off, all firewalls off, and all anti-virus software off, *and* at the same time.

Truth be known, I can only verify or diagnose what is happening on my end. If everything looks good on this end, it is hard to determine what is happening on the other end. Therefore, I will ask customers to make sure they are wide open on the other end, or to try again.

Here is a standard reply given regarding the Error Code 53, which generally applies to those of you not able to enter CC information. It will *not* help everyone, but may help a few.

****

Error 53 would be caused due to one of the following errors:

Unsubscribed
PaymentNeeded
PaymentInProgress

Please be sure to check your account for one of these issues.

Possible solutions to the listed issues:

Unsubscribed: You are now able to resubscribe using the resubscribe button on your “edit your account” page.
PaymentNeeded: This simply means your credit card was not verified. There is no actual payment at this time, the company only tries to verify by attempting a single dollar charge and then canceling. You can cancel any current pending verification and try again.
PaymentInProgress: This means your payment is in limbo. If it has been this way for several days, you will want to cancel your payment and try again.

We have run into a few problems with payments and want to make sure you are well aware.

Known Problems:

Pop-Up Blockers, Firewalls, Virus-Scanners: All of these have caused issues in payment processing. Please make sure you have all of these turned off, including the default Windows XP SP2 versions.
Cancelling transaction in process: Please make sure you wait for the transaction to complete. In some cases people are canceling prior to the page finishing the actually transaction. It can seem like it is taking a while.
Past Chargebacks: Some people have requested a charge-back from Bibit in the past. This can affect the ability to charge another service through Bibit.

If you are still having issues after this, please submit at support ticket and we will do what we can to help you. However, I can only ask you be patient while we try to gather as much information about your issue as possible. Twenty people could show the same symptoms, but have different problems and we have to work each out on a case by case basis.
