Medium looks are pretty :D
well worth 40 sp IMHO :D
I can't wait till I have leveled each of my branches to 150 each so I can 'waste' 50 sp on the High Quality looks.

With the MAJOR reduction is sp cost for things like Jewels .... skill points are plentiful to a crafter.

Quality level
As you advance as a crafter, you will begin to learning equipment plans labeled as medium or high quality. These items, while offering the same basic usability as the items lower-level craftsmen create, have a much fancier appearance. Being able to craft these items is a mark of prestige.
I think this statement would cause a lot less confusion if they didn't insist on using "quality"

After all, are they talking about quality as in "I just made a q60 sword", quality as in "I just made a sword out of Fine quality materials" or quality as in "I just made a medium quality sword"? It was a while before I figured out which they where talking about.

This game needs more descriptive terms. :)

Yep - this causes loads of confusion to new and old players

I tend you use the following term for clarity:

Look - Basic/Medium/High - How shiney the item is, has no effect on item properties.

Grade - Basic/Choice/Fine/Excellent/Supreme - how good the material's properties can be expected to be.

QL or Q - The quality level of the item or mat, for items a high QL will mean greater maximum statistics, however these will be effected by the Grade of the materials used.

Hope this helps.

heh, I usually say something like: Want to sell: Medium quality Zorai heavy of <insert stat here>, <insert color here>, <insert quality here>, <insert grade here>, please send me a /tell if you are interested.

Of course I usually have to make a macro cause it's a pain to type more than once!

...and of course there are some mision, where You are asked to craft some things... and they are explicitly medium/high quality. Well, at least then, You'll need to invest those extra SP :)

I wonder, if any of these xrafting missions are enzyclopedia-relevant...
