Let me see I went for Bugs.

Why because there have been a few show stoppers out there (lack of stat details on items?)(Item degradation?). Getting these sorted will help us all feel the boundries of the game and start to get things settled.

Next in reply to you larsa. They seeom to be doing a pretty good job in implementing all 3 of the needs atm. Admittadly slowly especially for new content but it is happening.
For example the last patch (13) bug fixes there were, small admitadly but needed. Previous patches have fixed larger problems. Also balancing was coverd ie harvesting Was Nerfed, annoying for us harvestors but understandable.
And content was made available Welcome missioins back for noobland.

Yes all farily minor and not world shattering but they are working and in a month of relese they have had 10 odd patches not to bad in my eyes. Whilst also working on Patches 1 & 2 along with I expect laying the plans for patch 3.

Bugs need fixed
Then balancing
Then new content

Once the current system is working fine then new content should be introduced. Eq had the lets add new content and not bother with game fixes. I was a ranger in eq and from day 1 till after i left 4 years later they had not fixed line of sight or the ability to shoot higher or lower than your current position

While I'd rather the game was balanced... you have to fix bugs before you balance or you end up doing it again.

Once say affliction spells are fixed for delta level, it impacts the balance of everything. Once stat bugs on range weapons are fixed, it will impact the balance again.

I think Nevrax should bug fix, add in some of the promised content they're close to, then set about balancing things (then balance foraging.. with a goal in mind).

I've seen the messy way of trying to balance and add content while bugs go unaddressed. It didn't work in AO, it just makes things worse.

Are all these things mutually exclusive?

I voted to get some content in. Atys needs some substance before WoW and EQ2 come out.

Fixing bugs and balancing won't attract new people. The fact is that all MMORPGs have these issues at launch. The people who leave because of them aren't in it for the long term anyway. Nevrax can't rely on them as an revenue stream in the long term.

If you add content then I think people are more forgiving of flaws in the balance because they become less of a distraction as the focus of the game shifts away from mechanics.

More substance please.

Generally speaking not just of ryzoms but all games. Bugs is not fun, unbalanced is fun.

Its only in pvp that unbalanced gaming is not fun.

The more a dev team balances the more boring the game gets. Everything becomes the same.

Kill the bugs, balance the game, but dont try to hard... if they spent as much time balancing the game as they are currently fixing bugs, this would be a very fun game.

Still dozens of bugs that i knew of 3 months before release.

Oh and keep lag monsta at bay. That truely makes a game not fun.
