Server Online - Shard not available ??

Well it seems like they are doing a somthing, now it says
Error:the shard is closed.

You guys have a Announcements section......How about using it?
This is the second day in a row with a longer downtime....and you guys dont write anything in there.

Just had the same happen to me. The server is online yet the shard is not available? Just as the ghost stories are about to start as well Can anyone help?

It's not only you. Me and all my friends got disconnected and can't log on.
My best guess is that something is down

I was at the story telling, it was just about to start, then the 'Please Wait' message came up, and nothing since then. Just quit and getting the shard error too.
there were a LOT of people at the event

As previously stated...

There's been some technical issues with one of our Halloween events that caused the Server to crash. The cause for the problem has been located and fixed.

The reason why you can sometimes see a Server flagged as "online" at first, but are not able to enter it, is because it is restricted to members of the staff. This is done when we need to test something internally, before opening it to the public again.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get reply. The server was only down for 20 mins max and I believe it was down for everyone. The stories just started later and were very enjoyable. Saw Wormy for the first time and hit him a bit. It is still a new game so I should expect some teething problems. Thanks to all who sorted the problem.
