and that must not be.
Dunno, I don't use increased damage... I play with high speed daggers, aim head, accurate attack, avoid armor etc resulting in a lot of attacks, with a higher ratio of critical hits in comparison to slower weapons, hitting the head which in turn results in a stun, and no reduction in damage from armors; costy on stamina being the downside.... but then I'm not forced to constantly use the styles; the hit rate makes up for it.
Why would I want increased damage? I do fine without it. I play differently than 'most tanks'. There are enough options around here to not look at SWG or DAOC.
It's just a matter of min-maxers plaguing the game with the 'most efficient' way to get the max xp for the least time spent; they'd rather all run with the most damaging weapon and the highest increased damage... than try something different that might be more interesting and which would make some variety in the game.
My fighting style may be slower than 2h increased damage fighters... but I like my style, and I enjoy fighting monsters for a bit, watching my back for adds... and in groups I need Stamina heals instead of Life heals most of the time; bringing variety to the healer classes too
