Agreed, undecided is not good at any time. It was intoduced only to allow existing players to keep their fame levels above +50 when factions (including fame caps) were introduced. New players always start off neutral (cannot become undecided) and thus undecided is not supported or meant as an alignment to keep. It's not only the fame that doesn't change, there are more issues, possibly including broken missions.

Guys, thank you very much for the replys again :)

Right, figured a few things out. Firstly, it was the guild NPC that gave me the "find NPCs" mission - I went back and checked. What I needed to do, was go back to them, and select the last option in the dialogue - "I'm fine on my own thanks". This triggered a "You've completed a mission step" message, and I could then get the guild creation option :)

I have to admit, I'd completely missed both the NPC outside of Zora, and the Corporal near the stables. You're absolutely right - I *can* get missions from the first NPC, haven't tried the Corporal yet but it will probably be OK also. Unfortunately a case of noob-o-vision on my part! :)

Kami fame seems to be incredibly long-winded to increase, which is somewhat frustrating given that the last time I checked my alignments (*cough* 2005 *cough) - everything was dandy, and the Kami were happy to sell me TP tickets.

The guild I wish to create is simply to gather a group of friends arriving here and help us to work together - one or two of them haven't played Ryzom before, and Guild Chat helps enormously there. We would be looking at Kami faction alignment - I know you've mentioned that creating a neutral guild will make later alignment more difficult, but since this mostly pertains to PvP and outposts (I'm assuming), would I really damage anything by creating Neutral, and having all members work on Kami fame? Will it slow down our personal Kami fame gains, and thus extend the time in which we can't buy TP tickets? I'd love to get the guild set up ASAP, but don't really want to rush into something that will later damage the fun we can have ingame.

Again, thank you very much for all replies, being uber-helpful as usual, and helping me through my mis-understanding of Ryzom mechanics :) hehe

EDIT: Ah, just re-read your reply Scope, I see you've suggested a potential way out of that problem. Now I need to find a kami-aligned player (preferably not in a guild already) to create the guild for me. Excellent, at least I do have options to get past this problem - much appreciated, thank you :)

Not sure if you've sorted this out yet but kami fame up to 30 is not that hard to increase actually. It just involves a lot of porting to Yrkanis, Pyr and Fairhaven to do the kill the kitins and bandits missions up to the point where you align at 30, then on to Dyron, Thesos, OO, FT and so on to 33 when you can get those 250 zone TPs. Then you do all those missions for all zones and lands until you can get PR TPs at 60. Piece of cake! :)

My char was also "broken" like yours, and still is to some extent especially with regard to tribal fame. Practically all of those are in the red. Not looking forward to correcting that... :P

*waves to Nerriah* :) If I'm online, I'd be happy to help where I can - and I know at least another two friendly Zorais who'd be up for it ;)

Well, after raising my Kami fame somewhat, I started to wonder if it was really worth it. I take it that, to get the Min-Cho TP for example, reaching 33 fame isn't enough - I actually have to declare/align once I reach 30 right? I don't really do PvP, and the Homins I play with the most are also Neutral civ and faction. I would only go into the PR to level PR foraging - I have no need for "sups" and no desire to be nuked during a dig session :) In addition, it seems the Karavan side is needing more Homins at the moment, and that would probably be the sensible way to go.

Honestly, I don't really know what to do :) I actually posted on the feedback (meh) site asking for Zorai TP's to be "fixed". As a neutral I can happily access both Dyron and Thesos TPs, allowing entry to all towns in the desert and quick access to all high-level zones. I don't see why I can't even access Jen-Lai and Hoi-Cho, let alone Min-Cho. They are sat squarely in a Q50 zone, regardless of what they're bordering. I can also access the Grove of Umbra PR portal TP, for christ's sake :( I understand the mechanics (i.e. fame) don't get me wrong, I just don't understand the logic and reasoning. It's yet another reason for the Jungle being empty, and for someone around the 140 mark in Jungle Forage, it's annoying as hell. Kipee Mull has everything the Jungle forager needs up to level 200. This is the single reason I started working on Kami fame.

Changing (not fixing) zoraï towns tp's would means to change also the same behaviour from Matis and Tryker towns (that are the same as Zoraï).

Joining a faction doesn't means you have to Pvp at all. Many people just join a faction for the teleport purpose and declaring them still neutral.
Also, only Umbra's regions are enabled for GvG, there are other PR regions up to lvl 250 to get sups without being in open pvp area.

As neutral you can use a fair number of lvl 100-200 tps, not just GoU but you cannot use towns tps (except the fyros, because they are in different regions than the capital), not considering the capitals of course.

Eh, if it makes your time more enjoyable (i.e. shorter runs to Kipee Mull), I'd say just keep going with the Kami fame. Some folks are strictly neutral for RP reasons, but if you're just looking for TPs and foresee no PvP problems, there's nothing wrong with doing a simple mission for them in exchange for easier access to Atys. ;)
