Guys, thank you very much for the replys again
Right, figured a few things out. Firstly, it was the guild NPC that gave me the "find NPCs" mission - I went back and checked. What I needed to do, was go back to them, and select the last option in the dialogue - "I'm fine on my own thanks". This triggered a "You've completed a mission step" message, and I could then get the guild creation option
I have to admit, I'd completely missed both the NPC outside of Zora, and the Corporal near the stables. You're absolutely right - I *can* get missions from the first NPC, haven't tried the Corporal yet but it will probably be OK also. Unfortunately a case of noob-o-vision on my part!
Kami fame seems to be incredibly long-winded to increase, which is somewhat frustrating given that the last time I checked my alignments (*cough* 2005 *cough) - everything was dandy, and the Kami were happy to sell me TP tickets.
The guild I wish to create is simply to gather a group of friends arriving here and help us to work together - one or two of them haven't played Ryzom before, and Guild Chat helps enormously there. We would be looking at Kami faction alignment - I know you've mentioned that creating a neutral guild will make later alignment more difficult, but since this mostly pertains to PvP and outposts (I'm assuming), would I really damage anything by creating Neutral, and having all members work on Kami fame? Will it slow down our personal Kami fame gains, and thus extend the time in which we can't buy TP tickets? I'd love to get the guild set up ASAP, but don't really want to rush into something that will later damage the fun we can have ingame.
Again, thank you very much for all replies, being uber-helpful as usual, and helping me through my mis-understanding of Ryzom mechanics
hehe

EDIT: Ah, just re-read your reply Scope, I see you've suggested a potential way out of that problem. Now I need to find a kami-aligned player (preferably not in a guild already) to create the guild for me. Excellent, at least I do have options to get past this problem - much appreciated, thank you
