Yep. I'm on the mainlands grinding away foraging and crafting. I've hit the big five oh in armor crafting and have 43 in foraging :-)

Hmm.. I'm rather boring and lost for the moment, I'm afraid.

But I do truly enjoy giving my characters a bit of personality of their own. It really makes it *alot* of fun to be online.. even when I'm not leveling or crafting, etc... Just interacting with people in general.

In FFXI, I was a complete goof-ball.. always "poking" people (one of the game's emotes)... I had macros set up that would combine various emotes, along with some descriptive text, to make her sneeze (people would almost always "hand me a tissue" or say "bless you!" :-) , to untie people's shoes then laugh at them, to try to wipe "Chocobo Droppings" off her shoes, etc... I would run up and emote tugging or jumping on a Galka's tail... I played a Mithra which are the feline-like and very mischevious race in that game - they have this perpetual "smirk", as though they know something you don't. So I enjoyed playing that part quite alot, since I'm a bit of a jokester in real life. That's one thing I really miss about playing that game... playing my Mithra. By the by, my char's name in FFXI was Shanree also (it's a character name I carry to every new game I play, if I can).

I haven't reached the point of feeling comfortable or familiar enough in Ryzom to give Shanree much of her own personality yet. But there are a ton of emotes - possibly too many - I think that I might be able to do something with. I haven't found anything that really screams out "use me in some creative way!" yet. If you could assign emotes to a quick-key, that would be awesome.. if you could string them together (like in my FFXI examples), along with your own words (via a /say command or something) that would be even better! But.. I'll make do with what's there.

But anyway... I'm sure I'll find something I can do to breathe a little more life into her :-) ...

Is that an invite or a gagging reflex?

Gag reflex I think is closer :-)

I'm male in real life.. just so you know :-)

The whole female character thing always throws people off...

We're you on Lakshmi (I think thats how you spell it) in FFXI? Shanree sounds familiar. And ya its so 50/50 nowadays wether or not a toon is actually female or not anymore. I'd estimate about 80% of the mithra population was male too. I'm pretty tempted to role a female toon in Ryzom myself just so I could admire the thong city armor.
