Just don't let the matis near it, they'll try to rebuild it to run on Goo and egotism.
Oren Pyr - welcome to Atys, Keynn! You'll find the rootball has much to offer, and its inhabitants are helpful homins. Good luck.

Bah, with our egotism they´d have a near infinite source of power. They just don´t realize it yet

I guess it can be related to Tiberium, or even Elerium-113, which both are powerful sources of energy, but very toxic and cause irreversable changes to living beings and plants...
I am almost sure that Karavan are very interested in using this substance as a power fuel for their technologies...
The Karavan and the Karavaneer would be first to agree that the Goo is dangerous. You'll find out that it is almost excusive to Zorai ... in fact, sometimes it seems the big blue fellows are rather watering the stuff than destroying it ...
It was not possible to do much with it yet, to our knowledge by none of the races and not even the higher powers. It seems to be rather indestructible. Villains distilled it as a drug, though, and Still Wyler, the Gouvernor of New Trykoth, was killed by an assassin using Goo-poisoned ammunition. A Zorai villain, Muang, recently used its powers to breed giants - animals and homins - so be careful where to set your feet. Fools rush in, and all that.
And please, stop picking on the Karavan. In fact, it was them saving the lives of the homins when the Kitin were stirred up by Fyros and invaded our bark.
So, may Jena hold her sheltering hand over you, Keynn. Jena Ayie.

Though I wasn't there, but I heard about some guy, with a funny name "Tryton" if I remember correctly...
I heard it was him, not the Karavan, who saved homins by showing them ways to escape.
Yeah, really :

Don't believe the gibberish of Tryton's disciples. Tryton finally broke Jena's commandments and went down deep into the roots; I remember his expedition well, also the last messages which reached us. He and his closest followers were lost down there. May Jena forgive him.

You should, this story is only an example of what happened.

Plus, according to the
timeline (2481 - 2483 : The Kitin War), the Karavan sent a task force to destroy kitins; but neither Kamis nor Elias did so. Maybe you should doubt of what Elias really did: "appeared to a chosen few", as far as I know, he didn't helped the whole hominikind but only his followers.
