The only thing that I think should be changed is item decay should be more forgiving in a group of mixed levels. Maybe take the average equipment levels instead of just the lowest one. That way people won't have to worry about having lower level members join them in a hunt. The idea of a game is to be incluvsive of its player base, not begin to exclude players from having fun.

This applies to solo also. Going out and doing mobs that are 20-30 levels above you will tear up the armor very fast too. This would seem to support your theory Zeno, that the degradation is based on a multiplier that is based on the level of the mob vs. the level of your armor, then it is used with the exp to find the decay rates.

This means that groups will be stuck doing mobs that solo can do and while doing multiples of something is fun for awhile it will get old quick. I group so I can do mobs that are much higher than I am, as the multiplier is now, grouping is just not that much better than soloing.

It has dawned on my why this was not caught in FBT, they did not add the cap on exp until after the FBT. Therefore they did not realize what capping the exp was going to do to the decay rates of the armor. If I was still getting the full exp for the mob then I would be leveling at a much faster rate and the decay of my armor would be more in line with my progression through the skills. Maybe we need a cap on how much decay the armor can have, that could even it out, since there was a cap put on the exp.
