there are not many places to go. a few towns which are all the same and thats about it.
no places of intrest. nothing like that at all.
you cannot get lost for hours . a few months down the line when we can travel more easly it wont take long to just run accross the map of ryozom
the prime roots where alot smaller than i was expecting and they are empty of intresting points.
but this seems to be the trend of mmorpgs to date.
look back at ac1 eq and you are in a world about 1x the size of ryzom.
now you have games like sor swg wow coh etc and all of a sudden its small zones with not much in them.
anyone else getting the feeling that the world of ryzom is not that big. what is it about 20km accross? takes what 10mins to run 1k . so your looking at what 2-3 hours to explore the whole map at later levels?
fantasitc looking world but does this mean there is too much dev time making new zones?
am i missing something?
Evidently you may be. It sounds like you are in the starting lands.
To take a group of people from the far end of Bounty Beaches all the way to the far side of the Lagoon of Loria takes a number of hours. And that is just 1 civilizations lands, and thats with taking the direct route, let alone sight seeing.
The game world is intended to change, evolve if you will. Which means even more lands to be added.
I just don't see how this is a small world. It is much bigger than eq was at release, takes longer to cross than shadowbane's lands, and much more dangerous to do as well. The way it should be.
