Hey moderators, can you make a topic where people can give their ever-so-insightful why I left the game posts? Its sortof annoying to see people spam it all over the place here in some futile attempt to convice those of us who like the game to leave as well...

You mean you, and m3zcl4n (is that Latin? :-p ) actually *understood* that?
Wow. I think you both need to seek help. Immediately. Before it spreads.

If you guys are leaving can I have your Dap?
hee
I have had two attempts to post get wiped by me. They get "shorter" each successive time. Perhaps that is for the best
Be kind to this game, it has alot of things going for it that you will miss while playing the "other" games.
I don't pretend to KNOW what Ryzom needs. I am still fairly low level, I have likely not encountered the big problems higher level people are talking about.
But I know how I am with these games. I leave and I come back.
Ryzom needs support now, I suspect that is why it came out when it did, to grasp people who are tired of the grinds in other games. I am not saying this game does not have grinds in it, but I am certainly having more fun here than in the game i left for Ryzom.
I think it would be a shame to see Ryzom go.
[edit]
Err, this is awkward.
I am leaving the game now.
Not because of the game. I enjoy the game.
Just a bit of bad timing.
Take care.
Anyone want my Dap?;p

Wow, Lupine04, that was one of the most eloquent, well-versed posts I have ever read. You are exactly right--exactly. My post of late have not been constructive, but rather vindictive. I am a 'bummer' to this forum with my current attitude and demeanor in my posts. While what I was doing was not 'against the rules,' it did lack taste and etiquette.
To turn a new leaf over, I hope that SoR does come around and that my 'x-files' conspiracy ideas are not true of Nevrax. The game really has some awesome ideas in place, it just needs time and implementation.
Sorry everyone if I bummed you out with my negativity. I should have just kept my disappointment to myself and moved on, which I will do now.
Cheers and good luck to all in your MMORPG pursuits!

I totally see where you're coming from Yulric and understand you position. I guess for me, MMORPG's have been a huge let down since EQ, always promising so much more than they delivered. SWG was even worse because not only was it incredibly frustrating as a game but it marred the entire Star Wars franchise. Now that SoE and Lucas Arts have taken the Universe of Star Wars as their MMO, no one else will have the chance to do it right. This is particularly sad because of the huge cultural icon Star Wars has been for decades.
I say all of that, not just to bash another game, but to point out that all MMORPG's seem to have disappointed or outright pissed off large numbers of people but I can't see feeling cheated as some people feel by this particular game anymore than by any other mmorpg. It cost no more than any other game, mmo or non, and about a month is all I get out of my single player games if that considering RTCW lasted me one week and I haven't played it since.
I still enjoy the game, but I came into it with REAL low expectations coming from previous games with MUCH better backing. I understand anyone quitting and wish you all the best of luck in finding an enjoyable game. Heck, drop me a line if you find a game that truly delivers, I'd love to try it!
Robin, you earned a lot of respect in my book (worth little I know) for your demonstrated maturity in knowing when you were out-posted. We could all learn something from you in that aspect, as posters generally never give up the ghost and therefore accomplish little in their assanine flame wars.
Peace and good fun everyone, either in this game or the next!

Whoa, what a tennis match that was! Thank you Lupine for keeping everything in perspective. And thank you to Robin too. I believe that this community is made up of mature adults and I'm pleased to see that I'm not completely wrong .

The kids in my house get angry and totally irrational when a game doesn't do exactly what they want... the expectations are high, and the expected time input is low. They want it all done for them, like watching a move. Minimal effort involved. Afterall, it takes a lot of saving pocket money to buy a computer game right ?
Not aimed at anyone in particular, but helps explain why some people whine constantly for a game that hasn't even been out for 1 month!
