Sui - the idea we were bantering about IG was that guild HO's (etc) pay young crafters for their best wares to give to their guilds' newbies in return for their master-crafted items. This encourages budding crafters to craft, because their efforts are appreciated and more importantly USED, and to explore thier digging regins, whther 100, 150 or whatever bor the better (exe, etc) mats those regions can provide. How many ppl now bother looking for exe mats in Knoll of Dissent or Frahar Towers? A few I dare say, but not many. Therin lies a lot of the enjoyment of the game IMO

Re thread :

Dissapointed I couldn't post in your thread, being a newbie who is keen on crafting and who sells a lot of LA to other new players already, in fact probably a lot of newbie crafters around who would have liked to post in your thread but couldn't :-(

Still can't have everything.

I love the idea, but being a low lvl fighter and magic user would only be able to carry whatever I can lug through a TP to the fair, maybe we could also organise a major trek for all newbies wanting to take packers along loaded with stuff, when it comes to Fairhaven I will have plenty of stuff available. You have my support, maybe you could post this to the thread for me?

Thanks

Zhaxor (my ingame name, a lot of people will recognize it I am sure)

Done Zhax :)

I plan on having a pretty good supply of jungle and PR mats available, so if you need to borrow a piece or two, it wont be much of a problem. Trekking a packer through Bounty Beaches and the Roots would be rather difficult.. Maybe get trekked, and then buy a packer in Pyr, since I'm sure, once there, you will do some hunting and foraging in the area.. Just a thought...

The idea of a trek prior to the event has been suggested already, and may be a good idea. Anyone interested please contact me, Ffionnys or Lomilmalia in-game, or send an in-game mail.

Was thinking that this weekend may be rushing things a bit, so might want to try for the following one, esp if a couple or more treks need to happen.

Let me (us) know.

I can travel about and craft jools and amps - mastered both and have a fair amount of mats for each :)

Would need a nudge if it happens tho as i tend to sleep and forget things :)

Tztztztz...
Man, trekking Packers is fun, one of the few real challenges inGame left, for non PvPers at least. I loved every minute of it when we did it. And it´s nothing slower than trekking homins. Proof?

I too support trekking packers. I'm willing to log in and help, as long as I don't have to lead.

As of the last time I logged in (many hours ago), I will not be available on Ryzom to be contacted in-game until further notice.

It's all on you now, Ffiffi

I'd be willing to help out in a trek as well. I'm 210 healer, 135 melee. (although I don't think I have any working amps. I think that might be an int problem, and not a level problem, since I have a set of amps. I don't know what boosts int though. been too long since I played.)

I'm not sure exactly what this event is. I think I need to re-read it. but I am an amateur crafter (120 medium pants, 72 LA, 50 jewels, 55 1H melee)
and have 144 jungle dig.
I've been looking to get back into it while the game's still free but put it off all these months.

BTW, slightly unrelated, what's the best crafting you can learn on Silan? I want to work up my 2nd (trial) account while the level caps are off so that I have something I can use to revisit Atys and help out newbies with the best non-level-capped twinked gear. :> Is there any websites that have all the info on stanza costs, and how many skill points you get per level? I started calculating this a year and a half ago the last time the levels caps were off, but I lost my notes. (I think the results were that it was impossible for any one character to learn more than one suit of armor, which meant I'd have to restart a new character for each race/weight. *sigh*)

I'm away until Wednesday, so can't do anything till then :P

On a side-note, it's silly to put off the event beacuse of ppl needing to be trekked - next week there will be more ppl needing to be trekked, and the week after that and the week after that ... you get my drift? ;) If all goes well, this will be a regular event, so if you miss one, you can always catch the next one :)

@Faedyne - While the level cap has been removed on Silan, there is still effectively an XP cap due to the level of the region. The highest level one can realistically acchieve on Silan without hitting that particular wall I would say is around 30, but higher is possible, just incredible slow compared to jumping to the mainland. Do the missions, grab the rewards and get out, lol ;) The details of what the event is abbout are detailed on the first page of this thread. Talk to me IG (after I get back) if you want clarification, or try and catch up with Zyratuan or Kalyndra since this was largely her idea.

I will be more than happy to join any trek that needs me, just let me know here or in-game, when the trek will occur :)

Aye, you can count myself and others of the Zoraï Guardians guild in on any trek needs as well.
