Indeed, it is for this reason that I think some events should be held at the Asia & North-America overlap (which would also get Australia in), and some at the Asia & Europe overlap (which would also get the Middle-East, Russia, etc). At least on weekends a time can be found that is somewhat suitable for both timezones, just not all three.

For weekday events though, the thing is western Europe and eastern NA are only 6 hours apart, meaning you can (barely) get both zones in. The difference between Europe and Asia or Asia and NA is 8 hours, so a weekday event for Asia and Australia would pretty much have to be exclusively for them.

They should do this sometimes, yes, being an International server. But the majority of events will ofcourse be at the time that gets the most people in. And certainly the first few events after such a long absence should be. But hopefully you people in different timezones will get an event too soon. :)

There is also the issue of most event volunteers probably being in Europe or NA as well, making it difficult for them to run an event at a suitable time for Asia. Spiderweb can make a specific effort to get some event guides in from the Asia timezone ofcourse, but it still depends on if they get enough volunteers there.

I think you are spot on with this. I think the problem is that they are running the events on a skeleton crew CSR. Back in the Jolt days there was at least different 15 CSR/GM's (if not more) in Klients over a given week. I can only think of 3-5 tops now over that same time period. Maybe once the support team grows a bit, we can get our wish of an all inclusive Ryzom event schedule.

Waiting for the SoR devs to make an update since April 2004 (besides Mounts & OP's. Don't even bother mentioning Ring).

[quote="sesune"]It seems a majority of players are leaning towards 8pm GMT. I think this is fine as a greater number of players are from North America and Europe. However, this really isolates players residing in Asia from official events. [/quote

This seems only doable on weekends though. With the US from GMT-5 to GMT-9, 8 pm is inevitably in everyone's normal work day.
