I know she's like, leader and stuff.

But she was adorable too! :)

Seriously though, that stick she had...was that a spear? Need to go watch it again. Would she have been a warrior before?

odofitzg wrote:The question then becomes, if there was the necessity to transport a "special item" from the desert to the Lake Lands, why take it through Prime Roots? Yes, the route is the shortest one, but it is far from the safest, especially if it is large enough that it must be carried by Mektoub.
It actually IS the safest route, seeing as the alternative is through Heretics Hovel and then Lagoons of Loria. :o

Plus past the Matis too, and seeing a Tryker with a "special item" travelling through, they probably would want to take care of that item for him. ;)

Or one could go the short way across ToT and then cross the jungle to The Ramp. I think that would be the safest route, with only minimal PR-related risk.

Yep, that is the safest route, but still includes a PR-crossing, so could have been the route he took. (The Cockroaches were only called upon because they were the only PR-tribe with ties to the Tryker state, not necessarily because their camp is anywhere near where the mektoubs were lost.) Though that route also goes through the lands of the Zoraï, who of all homin civilisations are the most distrusting of the Tryker, so I'm not sure if I wanted to take a secret item through there if I was a Tryker.

Yes, Ailan is the Tryker governor elected by the people over a few other candidates. You can find her history here:
http://www.kami-alliance.info/mirror/ww ... ryker.html

Loria was an amazing Tryker that helped her people around the time of the great Fire of Coriolis. One of the Legends of Loria:

The current staff of Ryzom have stated that they were going to do a history scrub to make sure things are in line, so the information in the links above may not be or remain accurate. :)

As mentioned by Gilmar, her bio can be found here.

The pike was Still Wyler's, looks like it was passed onto her after was assasinated. Maybee his helmet was buried with him. And yes, its a pike
