you know what i think would be a simple, and VERY useful expansion?

allowing ring scenarios to stay online without the char that created it having to remain in there.

could tie it to player ratings, if the scenario is highly rated it can stay online, if its poorly rated it's a no-go. This would allow SW to tap into the imagination of players for "permanent" content. To avoid having scenarios stay in there too long, you could have it ask for a confirmation daily/weekly/whatever, could also tie this to how high it's rated or how often its used. A scenario that's used often and gets good rates would not need this confirmation. A scenario that's never used would require confirmation more often.

Have CSR monitor the scenarios for obscenities or bad language, allow them to remove the scenario if its a bad one, possibly blacklisting it.

all simple and easy patches imho, could be done quick and had the potential to supply tons of content for both veterans and newbies.

As far as I know, this was supposed to be possible, although there could be a fee involved. When the ring was announced, it was said that "hosting" would be a player option (another source of revenue). Finally, those "top" scenarios would eventually become part of Atys. I do believe that "having to stay to host the scenario" has seriously damaged the usefulness of the ring (even more with current population, which means that you may need to wait a while. Maybe they figured out that, if it was not a requirement, hosting would not work?

Another planned feature, although Nevrax tanking did not help.

The issue of CSRs needing to police the scenarios was also rised eventually. Not sure of the outcome (although if there are not enough CSRs to cover 24/7 the game, pointless to expect scenarios too)

Just a thought,

Ani

i know, most of these things were said before, and some promised but never implemented. Just wanted to put them on people's minds again (i just hope devs read here as well), because they should all be fairly easy to implement.

about CSR shortage, i read they're recruiting, so that might be fixed soon, and they wouldn't need to check every scenario, just 1 or 2 a day. Tie punishments to abusing the ring and kinds of abuse to make sure the creators of those "bad" scenarios think the risk too great.
