I voted for the last option. I mostly don't care. I'm always happy to learn 3 or 4 words of another language (which would be what happens if there is a server merge).

But, since English is a language more people know (outside of Spanish, maybe), many would be expected to learn English to get anything accomplished.

If a server merge is necessary financially, I'm cool, I dont care. I wont vote for a server merge otherwise. But if it happens, I still don't care.

I speak 28 languages to a level where I could survive in a country but prefer to keep the servers how they are

u still can learn 3or 4 words from other languages ,we got enough peeps from all over the world in game

Not native in any of the languages, knowing one two French words, always regretting not knowing German, what else but last option remains to me (except the "leave me alone" part because I do care about other people who might be hurt in the process).

But yeah it could be traumatic for some players and for Rpers who depend on their communication abilities all the most... hope only it will not be the case.

About OPs... are we here enough people to take together one 250? Well maybe if we only need the 5 rounds to win (or was it 6?) and this depends on a level wipe or not.

The whole thing might depend on the number of players present and ready to pay subs from one or another language.

Merge the servers but have global channels for English, German and French.

This way people can continue playing as they did before but there is the added bonus of a high population, even if some of them won't ever talk to you (like most other MMOs).

The English-speaking French and German players can also add to the English-speaking community if they wish.

I think if it is a financial issue..... merge them. we can deal. it will create problems. it will be annoying in universe/region. we'll get used to it. keep in mind my friends, talking about things like this are always going to seem more drastic then they are.. we are humans on a planet.. we manage to communicate to one another even if we do not speak the same language.... dont let language hold you back.. thats silly. So what if an aggro attacks you and someone says "ACHTUNG!" instead of "WATCH OUT!". we have so much to learn and gain from being in a place where we are forced to adapt. would it be horrible if you learned german or french? i think not.. youd be doing yourself and the United States some good. I can pretty much guarantee "language" is not as big of an issue for the French and German players. The two countries are side by side. Now whether French or German players like each other enough to want to merge is another story. The countries being next to each other does spark some rivalry for sure.

Personally I think merging with the German server would be best. German is easier to follow. Many of the words are the similar in English and German... (okay maybe going out on a limb with that one.)

Why merge servers though if its not necessary?

This is a good suggestion. It might be a bit confusing though, like having 4 chat windows open at the same time.. Of course youd still be forced to communicate somehow between the languages. I would think you could make a way of broadcasting a message from Universe to every language if needed i.e. CSR messages.

This entire thing sounds like a nightmare though. haha

It's not worse than having separate servers where there is no way to communicate across them At least this way there is the option for a German-speaker to speak in the French channel etc.

In fact, the global channels will have the same traffic if not more. The downside is that people may not respond in the say/around channels.

Channels can be filtered though right? So I can turn off the Germans
