I hope very much that it will be brought back up, later if necessary, with at least the exploit bugs fixed. Fixing the rest of the bugs would be nice too, but is optional. There's no reason to completely abandon it, and several reasons to keep it available even in an undeveloped state. Just can't let the exploitable bugs remain, hence "later if necessary."

I think most agree. Good idea, crap implementation.
The real question is: Do they have the time/money to make it work?
I'm betting no, shame really.

But it did work! I had lots of fun with it!
Okay, so I'm an oddity. Oddities pay subs too.

No you are not an oddity - i had lots of fun with it aswell

And many more people did too...
It had a few bugs yes but in the end when servers slowed down to 1\6 turtle pace it was the only place to hang out... if you could make it to a terminal in less than 1 hour...

hehe, well thats debatable but I actually meant on a broader scale, ie: making it known to the world.
I was quite excited by it during development and even went to the London Demo. Maybe 10 people showed up to watch, just a few players and Souls. Not quite the exposure I was hoping for.
Turned out to be a blessing as it happens since the Hotel's firewall didn't like the Ring and we ended up in a little internet cafe accross the street. XD (Typical Nevrax cock up

)
Anyway, the point is, ffs advertise!

That was a fun meeting
I think the Ring still has merit, after all isn't CoH doing something similar now? It is something I've been looking forward to since this site went back up. Hopefully we can at least get it back in its broken state but I'd understand if it was very low priority while getting the game back on its feet.

I completely agree. I'll be fine if its not there at launch but would be greatly disappointed if they abandon it altogether.

One other thing guys, your missing the point
I wasn't demanding they sort the ring out for re-launch.
Purely curious if they are going to, or not
hence simple question, i just want a yes/no nothing more.
As for the exploits, well, they don't actually have anything to do with the ring directly, from what i can gather, they used certain other parts of code that are to do with game master commands to recreate a similar command for the ring that allowed the whole dungeon master gift thing to work.
However some changes were applied to the main server code too. So regardless of anything ring related, those exploits will still exist until they patch them out of the mainland shard services. Im going off topic though now..
