Sid:
Modifiers for Pike Missing. I also seem to remember a patch note saying you get 10% less damage taken with pike.

I remember reading that, but its completely imaginary as far as I can tell in game. Everything hits you for the same damage regardless of which weapon you're holding. And swords have the bigger parry modifier, so they would let you parry more attacks and take less damage that way....

Pike mods are in there, together with those of 2H mace and 2H axe. All 2handed weapons except swords have the same modifiers.
Yes, I remember that patch. Supposedly the pike took 10% less damage because it had a reach of 20, against the other 2handed weapons all having a reach of 10. I don't have the slighest idea if that mechanic is working though... It definitely doesn't directly absorb damage like armor does, but if it does something shady like decrease your opponent's effective combat level before it's calculated against your parry, who'd know?

In any case, reach is a constant and not a crafted stat, so not included.

It was explained in te release notes that the longer reasch was responsible for the difference....I'm thinking perhaps the longer reach made the mob miss 1 outta 10 times ?

That's another possibility.

It's definitely something with probabilities that's not easily determined or tested,
if it's working as intended...
I don't think it was posted on the forums... The thread about the patch is [thread=18317]here[/thread] but the whole list of changes was as far as I know only posted on the main site
here.

My memory may serve me wrong but i thought the pike had a dodge mod of -10 to 10

That's what it implies by the wording on the main site link you gave:
"- Pike: 20% less damage, 10% faster, 20 in reach (3 others weapons have 10)
that allows to lower received damages by 10%;"
And yes, after the patch notes were posted, we had a discussion about it all in one thread....unless mr. alzheimer catchin up w/ me
