Yes, they're all servers that are located in an ip block that is owned by Gameforge GmbH, except for the main website's (and klients') server.

It means that those guys over there are nice and cool for providing their Serverpower for us, so that we can play.
Maybe they´ve got a bad consience?
Or they realy just thought, what the hell, we´ve got enough Serverpower, so let them have it.
Who knows?

Well, it doesnt really mean that they own a physical server, or that they are currently paying for one, just to be technical. Or they COULD be, as well.
Our friends let us host some of our files on his server, but it doesn't reside in his house, it's hosted elsewhere. And he hasn't paid on it for months, being that he paid in advance. That was my original point.

The Gameforge ip block is located within the aixit.de ip block, goes from 83.141.21.1 to 83.141.23.255, and has over 200 machines online.

I'm not really going to get in to this too much because we can argue "If you loved the game, you'd play it no matter what until the servers are shut off" or "The uncertainty is spoiling it for me" until we were blue in the face. ( <-)

However, I'll say what I have to say and that'll be it.

I can see where Beau is coming from and I feel much as he does, as do many other people I know.

It's not because we love the game any less, we're just reacting differently.
Those who are too up themselves to think it possible that theres any other way to feel about this can go get stuffed.

The uncertainty and worry that comes with the current situation the game is in spoils the game for alot of people.
Will we ever get a new owner?
Will we ever get new content?
Will the servers still be running next time I log in?
Will I lose levels or even my character all together?
Will the CSR go powermad?
Do the CSR even have any real power or are the griefers and h@x0rs free to do as they please?

I still log in and play, mainly just to socialize with friends still remaining. This is still in the back of my mind though and it makes the game less enjoyable.

Not only is there all of that but theres the fact that there hasn't been any major mainland content for over 2 years now. (Outposts) The recent bankruptcy just feels like the icing on the cake.
All together it tastes pretty ****.

Ryzom's been in a coma for a long time and I'd just like to know if it's ever going to respawn or just curl up and die.

We´ve got a saying here in germany:
"Einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul."

Figurative translation: "You don´t check the teeth of a gift horse."

Meaning, be glad that someone pays and just leave it be.
Accept the gift and that´s it.
