You'll get no argument from me there, or from Nevrax either. They've admitted they've had distribution problems and they've given us a free week because of it. Here's the post from the North American Community Liaison:Unregistered wrote:Bottom line is that the distribution for this game does not seem to be working.
We can now at least be certain that there's been a holdup of some kind and that the current situation isn't what Nevrax considers ideal. Far from it. If they're giving current subscribers free time, they believe things have gotten so out of whack that we deserve compensation for it. That tends to suggest that action is being taken to remedy the problem.cerest wrote:In order to thank our current players for their loyalty and patience during our issues with distribution, Nevrax has decided to give our current players one free week effective immediately.
The billing system has already been adjusted to show this. Thanks guys!
In any case, the free week wasn't necessary. I've played enough games from launch day to understand the way things usually go. Still, it was a very nice surprise, and not much surprises me these days. I suspect things will improve. I don't see how they could fail to. The current numbers are low, but this isn't a game that'll go away quietly once it's widely available. It's just too good. Granted, that's 100% subjective opinion. There are going to be people who can't stand the game mechanics or the interface or the color of the upholstery. This game has made a fan of me, though, and I'm a tough sell.
