My main char is called Missylee.

I am NOT Missylee: In real life i do not have blue eyes and certainly do not have green hair.

However, Missylee is definately A PART OF ME: Missylee's personality, feelings, things "she" says ig, etc, all these are an expression of the real me, of my real opinion, etc.

Annonymous or not: anyway you prefer to express your opinion, that's fine with me.
Attacking someone for having a different opinion: NOT OK.

It really shouldn't matter if someones anonymous in teh first place. For people to get so upset over soemthing typed in a forum about a GAME. Is kind of silly, I mean not like you ca really do anything to them. Sure you can gank them in pr... But they don't have to go there. Sure you could not allow them into your parties, but heck you may need there help sometime killing a boss or something. You could curse and flame them for year on end, but that really accomplishes nothing eh? Really if you just don't like a person on the forums, simply add them to your ignore. You will never have to see them insulting anyone. You will never become frustrated with them over what they type. You will never even have to see they exist ever again ;) .

To do this, Select: User Cp, then choose the Buddy/Ignore list button

add there name to the ignore section and just like magic you will not have to deal with that annoying forum troll :) .

I certainly agree with the free speach, and no, I would not take it out on anyone in game or elsewhere. I just want to know who (idiot, genius or in between) I am talking to. And I will have to look into the blocking of people, but would hate to have to resort to that, if it comes down to it. Yes, this IS a game, so things should not be taken too seriously.
Sasi, thanks, you are 100% right. Annonymous trolls suck "mud".

I have this great policy of blocking if:

1 - i tend to disagree with them on a alot of things
2 - they tend to flame 99% of the time
3 - if they are a spammer

That way, you read a flame once, then you have the option of whether or not you ever wanna read anything else they say.

annon or not it doesnt matter. I find that people who (continously) flame on the forums are generally to idiots ingame. (IE people i try to steer clear of)

(mostly) No trolls on Atys. No gnomes, elves, hobbits or orcs either. Part of the reason why i like it here.... :p :p :p

Think here's missed one major feature - when we discuss something we (each of us personaly) take in account is it important to know the ingame characters or not of one speaking smth. And in most cases this is drived by theme of thread :) Do we discuss op wars, guilds, events on Atys or we discuss game bugs statistic polls and etc. Think for most of us in different cases it can be important or not do we know names of chars or not :)

For this thread i think its not important, for example for thread regarding TPM that was important and ppl (hmmm, maybe i had no sig that time?) posting there to have no identification of their chars was not good :) )

And totaly agree with iceaxe that our behavior here is ruled by EULA/CoC and not our own feeling about sigs :) Other question - do we want to change EULA/CoC :D
