Well I've been playing at Leannon tonight and while its much better then Aris, it still has massive slowdowns regularly. So its not that awesome

Its probably a bandwidth issue - now the server hosting company know they are unlikely to get paid they are providing as little bandwidth as they can to cut down on costs.

If you login when hardly anyone else is around it might be ok... but then hardly anyone would be around.

I made a new character on the German and French servers. They are playable, but it seems like everything has been slowed way down. Even when you are set for running speed, it seems slower than walking used to be on the English server.

I hope a good company buys Ryzom. Atys just can't be lost forever.

Arispotle is currently running lag free. We sadly don't expect this to continue indefinately, so enjoy it while we can
