After chatting with older players and seeing some of the recent events transpire, it is my belief that the play of the game is not the problem, it is the players (not many, but enough to make a difference). GF may or may not choose to act on behalf of the players. It is up to us to act on our own behalf. I have only been playing since January, but have met many fun and wonderful people here. If the game is to change (other than play issues from Beta), it must change from within. If we as players see things we do not like, or are hurting the community, keep the threads coming and lets discuss the issues and make the changes, as much as we can anyway. Watching the older players leave is disheartening, but they may return (some already have as alts) and new players like myself and others will be the "old" players soon enough. This world is what me make it to be.

Thanks everyone,

Great feedback, and the numbers speak for themselves.

Cheers

[OOC]So many of us have had this dream since beta... what this game was to become was so grand it was inspirational. We have since tempered ourselves to expect less, but there is nothing wrong with keeping that hope.[/OOC]

Keep the faith... where will you be when Jena comes ?

When you are new everything is unique and special, having killed every mob, every boss, every named, ofc your going to have less special moments.

Being a noob was AWESOME fun, i grinded like hell but back then not know what to hunt and having very few people higher to give advice things took longer, i still enjoy ryzom enough to pay for two accounts every month but i'd be lying if i said i have as much fun as i did two years ago.

Just my opinion

the big question is, will people put the effort into changing things? the same issues from a year ago that were causing flames then, ops, neutrals etc. they are still causing problems today without the community doing anything in general.

I sure hope so Viper. New and old need to stand up to the threat.

The game has actually become much better. The game was unplayable in the beginning. But as Doupletap says..

the dreams and the inspiring writings of David Cohen Corval are forgotten. Bring it back! Please!

(For some reason I feel I should have "WWDD - What Would Doubletap Do?" as a bumpersticker)

I voted the first option only because I cannot agree with the second one; I do not hold any hope that anything will improve here. But I still play the game daily and enjoy it. There is much I have yet to see and do, and I still get those feelings of awe at the beauty and depth of Ryzom. Still, if it weren't for Sharokti I'd be gone.
