.
A community OP was recently given to players as a bonus for fighting. Those are not non-combatants. If these OP's are to be used to benefit combatants by the OP managers, why shouldn't someone else take it over to use as a prize for a helping guild ?

The battle will show what the majority of the players think about this. Lets just see what happens and show how you feel about it at the battle by showing up on either side. But plz not again on the forums.
Quoting myself srr...

So lets try to keep it civil and just accept there is a battle, which will have attackers and defenders. And both the attackers and defenders have their reason to attack. And everyone is right in his own eyes. Soooo no need to "hunt down the attackers" or "prove a faction is bad" or whatever.

Screenshots of /who and evidence will be taken during Battle to prove if this statement is true, aswell as names of attackers will be publicized.
i'm sorry but in my opinion that is dumb-tarded. we need to stop this kind of thinking from both sides people!!!
personally i think this might actually be the first real OP battle (since the begining anyway) that is being fought the way it should be. if what neva says is true - and i do believe her - this is not meant to be faction vs faction. this is IDEA vs IDEA.
i think some rumble-tumble is a good idea. i think it is also a good idea for people to realize that catalyzers are not everything. i understand the 'avalanch' argument but i have to say i hardly agree with it.
once you hit 1 melee level 250 - you have A) max dodge B) max parry C) Max HP D) max resists. it doesnt matter if you have 30 OTHER 250s. that _ONE_ is all that is going to affect whether or not you win or lose. (sure this is diferent in one vs one battles, but as a general rule, this goes)
all that matters then - is equipment. CATALYZERS DO NOT CREATE EQUIPMENT. some of the best gear in the game comes from neutral players that don't use cats. think about it folks.
if i do show up for this battle - i might actually attack _AND_ defend. one way, then the next.
Cheers Neva, you made a good choice and went about it the right way, imho.

Contrary to your previous postings, the community OP that was given away was raffled off with all non OP owning guilds participating
on either side eligible. Will combatants on both sides be eligible this time around or is this a strictly one sided deal ?
What should have been done if the manager decided it was too much to handle was return it to the owner (guild or faction) who originally donated it to the community. But my guess is you wouldn't have approved that course of action.

heheh, if it wasn't 5am on Sunday morning for me, I'd be tempted to defend the OP, just for fun

Give this homin a cookie, finally a good idea.

Neva wrote:What will I do with the outpost if won?
This outpost will not be mine to keep so I will raffle it off to one of the guilds that shows up to help. If you are interested in taking part in this raffle, please let me know. I will assign each guild a number and use the in-game random command to pick a winner.
