Well Beau, I agree with you there. They are her outposts. They are the outposts of a kami guild and kami leader, not neutral. They are no longer untouchable, and are free to be attacked by anyone.

I would have toask Brave directly, but I can totally understand if she is growing a little tired of handing out cats and mats all the time. Not that she is sick of it, but just watching her deal with me is exhausting. And I understand that the list of donation recievers is pretty long. So it HAS to be tiring.
Maybe she is bowing out? Dang it Brave where are you?? :)

No one questioning her helpfulness(spelling?). Ill be first to kick someones butt who'll start it.
beaut666 wrote:She doesn't need to explain to anyone what she wants to do with the OP. It's hers. She can give it to either side, or sell it or give it to The Great Dragon, Jimmy Hoffa, space aliens or just blow it up. It's hers.
Another thing is NO ONE owns community OPs. DFF and Braveganzar only managing fair cats distribution. That means NO ONE can just give away any of community OPs to anyone unless its a fair lottery. By fair i mean all OPless guilds must be on the list. Kami, kara, neutrals. I heard only kami guilds who helped taking Malmont were on the list to win an OP. Am i wrong? Any non kami guild (Flame of Atys, Order of Steel, Zerlins guards, Eternal Friendship Dynasty, Cymurs Kha + some solo guilds) who use community service got an email about lottery? Can someone confirm, yes or no?

Many ppl waiting for an answer, does "Community OP Project" still community or it became a hidden "Non-Attackable Kami Op Project"?

Btw regardless of a reason why that was done i am happy one more OP became a fair game.

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but someone does "own" every OP out there. Gameforge didn't give any OP's to any guilds right?
Now I'm not going to pretend that I know the details. I keep WAY clear of OP's for the way they create drama. But, let me hazard a guess:
(please don't take offense anyone, just making a guess)
Some players got together, got an OP and voted to use the OP for community reasons. Brave was either part of the players or later put in place by the players to be in chargeof said OP. She has now decided, or the group has decided to give it away in raflle and to do all the other things.
If she does not "own" it, or if she does not represent the guild that "owns" it, then how is she under authority to "give it away"?
If I am missing something let me know. My gut instinct is that there are many players upset that she would decide to do this, but that her ownership of the OP cannot be disputed.
Please correct if I'm wrong. :)
EDIT: I did get a letter from her explaining what she was planning on doing. I'll get a screenie of it or write what it says here. I don't remember her excluding opless players and neutrals from participating, and I'm pretty sure of that becasue I am SUPER DUPER neutral...why would she send it to me?

so why on earth are some of the Karavan taking such huge offence about a raffle?

heaven forbid your plan to 'win the game' and take every OP could have been held up by someone who used afew OPs to help out guilds that didnt have OPs.

You would have attacked them anyways at one point. but now a small opportunity to go ape at the community OPs has arrived.

stop spreading your petty agendas, and your petty hates, and your petty lies.

1 innocent player was looking for some cats. are you guys going to give them any? NO. But the dune farm farmers will.

so leave off, shut up and let the new ppl at least try and enjoy the game for once. its idiotic politics and hatefull filth like this that is killing the game.

Sorry Xtar...wasn't trying to fuel the fire seriously...I am curious about all the OP politics. Call it rubbernecking I guess.
Plus, it involves my friend, and am just trying to get some basic information. I AM the Reporter! :)

In reply to Beau, the way I thought it had worked in the past was that a guild in control of a 'community OP' was more of a caretaker & distributor than an owner. The beginnings of the project can be read here: http://forums.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21890 Look for other threads by Zysha (nonde) to read up on how things moved from there.

Thanks for the link Tshael! :)
That's the point I was making, is that some players think that because a guild that decides to donate it's guild for "community use" means that it cannot act in certain ways.
We all have to understand that luxury goods such as cats and OP mats are not needed for core gameplay. They are luxury items. This is what luxury items do to communities. At leats SOME part of the community. :)
I just thought it seemed like all sorts of people were coming down on the community OP becaus the guild owning it decided to finally jump into the ring to do something they have been doing all along.
Ugh I'm tired.
