Impossible,
Impossible, no. Very difficult, maybe. Perhaps you should invest some SP in appropriate Auras

I don't understand, you don't want to chew up the content straight away, especially if the prime roots are the only high level area available to all races. Perhaps they underestimated the ease at which some players could get down there and start yanking up the top quality mats, and I understand it stings a bit if you're used to an easy life and harvesting in what are supposed to be *very* dangerous areas. But, at the end of the day, if you want the game to survive for any length of time, you need places that are virtually impossible to get to or through for the high level players to aim for something. The fact that the races have a hellish time getting to one another, is one of the very saleable aspects to the game and its storyline. It's interesting to see a single player use the words clueless devs, because we all know players entrenched in their own 'levelling up' world of progression are ALWAYS OBJECTIVE about their opinions. I don't think so. A team of full time game developers change a difficulty setting and suddenly they're all clueless - deary me - calm down a bit, and look at the bigger picture for once. We can all get wrapped up in our own characters progressions and what frustrates but at the end of the day, I want to see Ryzom last, and I want high end content to aim for. Thats what the Prime Roots are there for.

Hi! Haven't bean down to the PR but I have heard lots of people that has bean down there and found Supreme mats as if it was nothing. Ofcourse it is great for them but after reading the History of atys (in the manual) it would seam as they where superhomins. But after this short time the game has bean up and running it seams a little too easy to be a superhomin in that case. And also as if the Karavan was a bounch of baysitters. I mean, if the homins could take care of the Prime Root situation them selfe, how come they let the Kitins destroy ther citys and almost destroy the whole civilazation? The part in the manual that says "after two full years of warefare, under constant Karavan fire, the columns of Kitins beagn ebbing back into the Prime Roots..." is quite punching I think. As it to me says: The Kitins are down there and thay don't want any homins to come and exploite ther huntinggrounds!
I'm totaly wrong?

Hehe, yes we had some peeps willing to sacrifice themselfes with root and stuff, and invulnerability, we still didnt manage. It would be possible maybe in our situation if the 3 patrolls werent there preventing an organized attack and diversion to lure the tunnel livin great kinchers away... Getting past the 3 patrolls is possible, I did it solo, but no way to pass 5 kinchers litteraly waiting INSIDE the exittunnel, and they dont move either.
Well, its OK if the kitins make it impossible to harvest in the middle, but the EXITS I think atleast should be possible to cross. I dont want to get the supreme mats easy (or.. maybe I doo
) I just want to visit other lands

Guess I have to go back to harvesting in knoll of dissent cause its such a big satisfaction to dig up endless choice mats.... Oh and the occasionally excellent horny shells that really makes me go wuwu!
Prime roots were fun and still exciting before todays patch. You had to go quite close to agro mobs, patrols roaming when trying to get certain mats it was a challenge, now its plain impossible, and all I wanted is to obtain the title prime roots forager and get mats that can be used by all races.

a'ight so you think that people should have to fight thier way into the Prime Roots, well what about the pure harvesters, are they going to run at the kinchers and kitin patrols with their picks? What the devs need to do is place Kami Guardians at the portals and you gotta be a certain level to get into the Prime Roots. And yes they should be dangerous since it is the kitin's home but it's *nearly* impossible as is for harvesters. However, I haven't been in this morning so I don't know how they changed stuff with the patch.

As has already been brought up by others here, perhaps the intentions of the developers are being misinterpreted here. It is my impression, based on what background story I can read on the website and in the game, that the game will probably be highly centered around guilds once the story line goes live (guild quests etc.).
I think the apparant easy access to excellent and supreme (cannot vouch for this, still rerolling alts at low levels
) may have wrongfully spoiled a lot of people who seems to take top of the line items for granted even at levels below 100, and are now believing this is the way it should be (and perhaps it really is - I am not employed by Nevrax).
Perhaps the materials that are found in the Prime Roots were in fact meant to be "rewards" for great guild (or other group) team work at high levels, where a number of people work together to protect the harvesters of the guild while they do their job.
All of this is pure speculation of course, but given the recent increase in diffuculty I get the feeling that something along those lines may be the original intention. Of course I am sure there is still plenty of future balancing coming.
Usually I do not bother engaging in forum threads that have all the potential to turn into flame wars, but I took a chance this time since I honestly feel that the original poster and a few more may be severely misinterpreting some of the plans for the game.
Or maybe I am. I probably should have kept my mouth shut as I usually do on those subjects
.

Tbh Supreme mats were too common, especially for ppl around lvl 50-60 when the highest lvls are 250. The PR should be hard imo, thats the point. People are complaining they want to access everything before they are even 1/3rd through their levels in 1 area. Whats the fun when u can get all the mats easy and theirs no challenge to it. Imo supreme mats should be ultra-rare and lots of blood should be spilled for them. They are too good.
Just my 200dappers

Woah, go look in the NA forums some guy got accused of exploiting bt a GM because he harvested in the PR a lot before the patch, a few more threads were made becasue the original was locked withotut an explanation. They were deleted within a minutes though...

Well, Id then say leave PR as hard as it is, but give us another way of travelling between the lands
I agree that PR are a nice carrot to reach higher lvls. And that people maybe dont (didnt) satisfy with less than supreme mats wich was a lil unbalanced perhaps. What low-medium solo crafter will have fun of that? Well, its a complicated matter. But my thoughts remain; Leave the mats hard to get and the mysteries of PR to be great mysteries... but id like to travel to simple new lands. Make caravans selling other raceĀ“s gear and mats.
