The patch did not work for me. At first I could plant flags and all seemed well, but later I crashed again (with the runtime error) when trying to plant again.

This, together with the phantom team members (team window does not update and there are 'ghosts' in map), the compass selection buggyness almost offset the improvements of this patch.

(I looove that casting no longer snaps the camera back and the new titles are cool)

I hope the devs can get it together soon :)

So I guess the modus operendi for the time being is "don't make a landmark" ? It's gone from an "occasional" occurence to an "every single time" occurence whenever I "create landmark at your position".

This is getting extremely frustrating. Every time I log out I crash and get the runtime error message. I no longer even attempt to place flags.

Could we get another update? I know you devs are working on it. I don't want to seem pushy, but I am so frustrated. Is there any progress at all?

Well I don't know if it'll work for anybody else but I completely reinstalled Ryzom and only copied the interface_anakha.icfg file from my old save folder.

I can plant flags no problem now, and logging out no longer crashes me.

(The only thing I have to do now is change the client.cfg for the camera distance (yes i know unsupported :P ) and see if that will bring back the problems.)

Good luck!

Unchecking "Full Screen" and running in window mode seems, so far, to have eliminated the "plant a flag problems for me.

We have official direction on the topic now.

http://forums.ryzom.com/forum//showthread.php?t=30993

In short, you can edit the dfg files but only in "authorized" manner such as disabling the background downloader.

When logging out (quit Ryzom) click on "Quit Now". Been doing this for a while now and no crashes on log-out.

This is a work-arround if you do not want to reload the entire Ryzom program files.

On two accounts with 3 toons one ach, I crash consistently if:

a) Using Full Screen (window mode = no crashes)
b) Exiting to Character Slection Screen (even in window mode)

Under b) doesnt always crash right away, may take cupla minuytes till I get runbtime error.

I have still crashed doing this.

Still causes crashes for me.

I always run windowed mode and have tried "Quit Now" and get crashes..randomly it seems. Guess I will have to see how this new patch works.

It's up and down. Some times no crashes at all, some times I crash every time. Windowed, full screen, doesn't matter.

Please fix :P
