Let's talk about that. Maybe in another thread.... but...
I hear plenty of people complain about how bad the relationships between players have gotten. Saying the community has changed for the worse. Some leave the game because of it.
This may not be the way to come together again. I'd like to hear ideas on what might work.
I am pretty sensitive on this issue right now because a very dear friend recently went through a major period of stress caused by getting too wrapped up in faction politicking/fighting. Such that the game became a chore and a source of frustration, rather than relaxation and fun.
That just ain't right.
So - the community is us. If we want it to be different, WE have to make it so. Do we really want it? Enough to do it?

I understand exactly how your friend feels heh... It wont be easy too bring the community back together, too many Kamis take OPs way to seriously, and let OP politics actually effect who they are friends with. And are quick to turn on friends if they help the wron people.(speaking from personal exp here, not oppinion, fact, wether they want to admit it or not) I am not sure how bad the Kara are in that way overall. As most of the Kara that don't like me, I just never hear from
To help things back to normal, everyone who is the way I just mentioned, will first have to relize it, and then....take a step back and change it. THEN things will slowly start getting better, And I'd prolly go back to the Kami alliance lol.
P.S. feel free to flame me for anything I said, as it will most likey just prove me right anyway.

I'm game for this hunt. Let's go!
I've always been happy to hunt with the Kamis, and even *gasp* share the loot!
After all, just because the kami are misguided and confused doesn't mean I don't love ya!

Stop blending concerns of character with those of player, starting with understanding the difference, and things would be better.
There are no Kami(st) or Karavan(eer) players. It's a purely fictional distinction. As far as the players go, it should be no more divisive than the choice of black or white pieces in Checkers.
Homin characters are the ones who would see one side as inherently better or superior to the other. You can't be both player and character at the same time...and if you try to be, whether in-game or on forums, you create a problem.

Count me in as well. I can throw a modestly decent heal, and it seems to work on Kamist, Karavaneer, and Neutral characters equally well. And I don't want any of the mats, just a fun hunt and a chance to meet people.

I have nothing against anyone in game regardless of what faction they support. I go to OP battle and fight in PvP to have fun. I have no problem teaming or talking to anyone in game outside of PvP.
Homins need to learn to separate PvP and regular game play.

That is funny stuff RS... I needed that chuckle you gave me.
Many do take thing's too personal, that's not only pertaining to our game

As long as we have a different homin than the one handing out loot after the kitin event, I am betting something can be easily worked out

woo! lets fight, so. Who gets the loot?
Paper/Rock/Scissors anyone?
I think its good in theory, but tbh, 80 people turn up. 60 of them doing it becuase they 'should', or becuase they 'have to' or were 'told to' 10 of them do it becuase it's their mate whos getting the loot, 9 of them do it becuase its their guild getting the loot, and the last person does it becuase they are getting the loot. Seems like you could be doing it up to 59 times before you have a genuine reason to....

I'll go, loot or no. Loot is nice - i reckon i'd be a touch displeased to see a greedy-gretta using Homins as meat-shields then scootin' off with the loot lickety split - but loot aint the only thing to be gained from a goal like this 'un.
Way i see it, that Lixie cain't be reasoned with no way, just about as mean as a ragus and don't care a thing for Homins at all.
So I'll pick a Homin over a Lixie every time. Don't much matter your philosophical persuasion, does it? Same as a kitin, really. (You wanna watch homins get along real quick? You just wait until them kitins come pouring outta the ground like a tital wave again...

)
PS - 'course I'll still hafta kick ya if i find one yall kamis rootin' around our Outpost...
