On the advice of a programmer, I did something close to this. I actually swapped them. Since there's always the possibility that the socket is the problem, I pulled them, changed them around, and put them in different slots.

I started with them in slots 1 and 3 (because of the head spreaders). I put the RAM that was in slot 3 in slot 2 and the RAM from slot one in slot 3.

So far it seems to have worked.

Just curious as to see if the ram swap resolved your issue We haven't heard from you again in a couple of days, so I hope it sorted your problem!
