Want to elaborate as to why you stongly disagree?
And why would you want things to be cheaper? that would totally disable the, already unstable, economy. I'm gunna take a stab in the dark here and suggest that you dont have a master craft or master forage?

I agree. Unless its not actually the Kami or Karavan selling these ´blackmarket TPs´, but someone else... (insert shady mystical figure here)komissar wrote:- Bribes - no, never - it's absolutely contradictory to the lore.
Nah you´re probably right. It would be silly. Still the mechanical aspect would be nice I think... perhabs call it something else than bribes?
Re: Lets Sink that Dapper
well IMHO economy is healthy as it is. IMHO the more you have to make use of "dappers" for to buy/obtain/participate ingame items/sevices the less the quality of game experience. The difference between rich and poor doesn't seems atm to play ingame a big role and that is the way it should stay.ffxjosh wrote:Want to elaborate as to why you stongly disagree?
No buy an item/service , craft it/exchange it/loot it/earn it as reward this is the "richer experience" way of gameplay.
Have already a RL job don't need to worry about how much dapper i own.

Re: Lets Sink that Dapper
counterquestion why you think economy is unstable ? and yes you are right don't have master craft/forage and thanks god/game mechanics it is not required. (no i don't hate crafting/foraging but atm i am enjoying other aspects of game and i would dislike the idea to be forced to)ffxjosh wrote:Want to elaborate as to why you stongly disagree?

Re: Lets Sink that Dapper
I have no issues with the dapper economy. Ihave nearly always charged dappers for crafts, by that logic, the volumn of crafts sold (about 2-3 sets of LA a day for past 2 years) i should be stupidly wealthy able to spend multiple 100's of millions of dapper on anything. This is not the case.
I actually spend the dappers on merchants and have had a balance of about 50-100 million for atleast the last 18 months. So i disagree totally there is a need for a dapper sink, it already exists if you wish to buy mats.
Having said that, maintainance costs for GH,Apt and packers is good, and once the funds run out, the contents is sold off. There is way too much hoarding in the game, if the hoardng has a maintainance cost then perhaps there will be more dynamism with material use.
Npc selling upto q250 mats would be very welcome, and if (re)introduced would instantly create an econony based on dappers, centered around the lvl grind for crafts. The npc material price would dictate both prices of bought mats (from players) and prices of items made (to ensure a profit). It would also take the crafting location away from the stables are into the markets where the NPCs are

If you want practicly anything exe + at Q250 - you will need to pay in mats, so either you dig them, or you get someone like EFD to dig them, paying in dapper.
the economy is unstable becuase of this requirement. If the value of the dapper went up, or dapper became more desirable then you wouldnt be forced to pay in materials. helping to balance things out.
Yes i know mobs drop mats, but they are basic / fine. worth little in the grand scheme of things. and the rate you need to collect them would mean your armor would be worn out by the time you had enough of the specific material required to get a new set.
Its the fact that dapper have to be used, so they should be used properly. I'm not a master crafter (relitivly close to) but i can generate over 15mil dapper a week no problem.

Re: Lets Sink that Dapper
Wow, bribing for tps you're not supposed to get would be a wonderful solution as both money sink and neutrals problem forever.
As for decorating homes and GHs.... sigh, it's a 1year +5 months old dream for me, others have even better statistics at it
I would add: make all Ops implementable, make 1 OP possible per guild, make drills excessively costly (tons of mats, some crafted parts, millions of dappers) then - when attacked - make the war destroy the drill if the attackers win.

You're suggesting the removal of dapper? (REF)
How would people buy TP's / tools? how owuld 90% of the trade on atys occur?
what about GH's, apartment's & packer's?
what about gear to sell when grinding craft?
The difference between rich and poor doesn't seems atm to play ingame a big role and that is the way it should stay.
The rich / poor does play a difference, as someone who has an OP axe, a supreme HA and supreme boosted stat jewls. their life (espc PvP) is much easier, it would have cost in excess of 100K Q250 mats for all of it. Put them next to someone in choice gear. I would say theres a big difference.

Mobs drop basic / fine mats, thats not productive to getting aromour. byt the time you get the right mats your fine/basic armour would have been almost worn out

Re: Lets Sink that Dapper
you have a point here, mats are the "hard currency". But i see this as "content" aspect of the game in the way of someone shouldn't be able to just buy the best mats/equipment.ffxjosh wrote:If you want practicly anything exe + at Q250 - you will need to pay in mats, so either you dig them, or you get someone like EFD to dig them, paying in dapper.
